Whenever I need a break from reality I put on Watership Down. :D Did that two nights ago after a long day in the classroom (for observations, but not as a student).

........Did you like it? :)

I watched Saving Private Ryan yesterday and I found out that it only had 5 academe awards and Titanic had 11. Come on Steven make another WWII war movie and get it right this time. ;) I mean Saving Private Ryan kicks Titanic's ass!!! So as you can tell I was disappointed about that.

It was John Wayne night in the junkie's Home Theater........we watched:

McClintock! with Wayne, Chill Wills, Maureen O'Hara, Stefanie Powers and many more. One of the better John Wayne shoot'em-ups, with some great comedy sequences.

The Train Robbers with Ann-Margret, Ben Johnson, Rod Taylor, Bobby Vinton and many more. All about a scam conceived by Ann-Margret and the Duke and his boys fall for it hook, line and sinker. Very good western.

Hondo the only John Wayne movie filmed in the original 3-D process by Warner Brothers. Fortunately this is the 2-D version and we don't miss much since the Duke didn't use 3-D to its most essentials. This movie also brought to the screen Geraldine Page in one of her first movie roles and introduced us to Lee Aker as her son. Another really good western from the John Wayne library.

We also watched the extras on "McClintock" and "Hondo".

Good night for movies.............a lot of popcorn was devoured.

Watched the director's cut of Legend, followed by the theatrical release of Legend. Have to say, before I'd only watch the theatrical release because it was shorter, but actually sitting down and watching the director's cut (with Goldsmith's score!) made me look at the movie more seriously and the DC is definitely better than the theatrical release (which I still enjoy for its 80s-music camp).

Watched Family Guy presents Stewie... in Uncensored format.
What a funny movie in an offensive way! And they imitated Sound of Music (can't say whether I found it offensive towards Julie Andrews or if it was just funny.. *shrugs*) But it did kinda drag on, especially with the jokes. Or that's just my opinion at least.

Was watching nothing but TCM tonight.

At 6 pm was Forbidden Planet, which I could not get in to (then again I was on the phone with my sister at the same time), and eventually I ended up flipping channels from 6:30 to 8 (watching bits of Law & Order: CI and Greed).

At 8 pm was Swing Time. A rather stilted story, but impressive dance numbers, usually done in one take which I really like.

At 10 pm was Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, another wonderful musical. I liked the barnraising dance sequence, and the shotgun wedding. Gonna have to buy this, along with Swing Time (or the Astaire/Rogers boxset) eventually on DVD.

And right now, the intermission finished on Dr. Zhivago, which I've been half-listening to in the background so I really have no idea what's going on.

Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit is not only the best animated movie of the year, it's one of the funniest films ever made! :o

You can't actually think this is awful but love the dreadful South Park and the unwatchable Prisoner of Azkaban.

Chick Flick weekend for us.

Fever Pitch - Not as bad as I thought it was going to be.
Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants - Same as above.

How the hell do you consider Fever Pitch a chick flick... But Sisterhood is in Steel Magnolias-uber chick flick territory. :P

Just saw A Clockwork Orange. What a disturbing film... I loved it :P . I'll never look at Singin' in the Rain the same way again. ;)

Just finished watching Hitchcock's Psycho. SPOILERS: (although you should probably already know this). Masterpiece by taking a "B" noir film and adding the horror of the murders. The shower sequence is montage/sound to perfection. After watching it, you swear you see Janet get stabbed.

I've not long watched Mrs Doubtfire, It's such a classic movie and it so very touching. It's definitely one of my favourites, I still laugh at it, I love it.

^ I especially liked the part where Max Baer starts clubbing Braddock with a phone and screams "How do YOU like it?!"

Just watched Batman Begins, honestly this film rules.
