For those who have seen the film: Are the songs in order? It seems that "I See the Light" should be before "Mother Knows Best (Reprise)", but they aren't that way on the Soundtrack.

It wouldn't be the first time Disney messed with the order: they actually do it on almost all of their classic soundtracks (TLM, BatB, and Aladdin all come to mind). It doesn't make much sense to me. But neither does Disney's stubborn insistence on refusing to integrate the score with the songs on the soundtrack instead of having the songs grouped first followed by the songs, as if we still lived in the days of cassette tapes.

"I See the Light" does in fact come after "Mother Knows Best (Reprise)".

I really like Rapunzel's hair in that shot of just her and Flynn in the forest–the weight of it looks very real, and I like how it separates. I know that the production team has put so much work into animating it (there's a piece of concept art solely focused on how her hair should look and move), and it looks great here.

Anyone else bothered that it's Rapunzel that lifts Gothel up and not Gothel that climbs like in the original story ? I mean, have you seen this girl's tiny shape ? lol

Really? That's interesting to me. I can't for the life of me imagine how the story will play out. I just assumed "Mother Knows Best (Reprise)" happens while Gothel convinces Rapunzel to return to the tower shortly before the showdown at the end. I'm excited that I haven't got this story figured out!

I think it's better in this way, because it sets the tone of who exactly is in charge in their relationship. Gothel pulls all the strings and has Rapunzel do whatever she wants her to do...

I agree, and the following scene with Rapunzel out of breath and Gothel picking on her for taking "so long" is pure villainy gold.

Exactly. Mother Gothel is abusive and it really works this way.
