So, more details. I managed to get myself into that screening last night. I felt so special! I met Alan Menken and Kevin Lima!
It is a lot of fun, and the classic Disney references are well thought. When I saw that "Walt Disney Presents," I knew (when you see the movie, you'll get what I mean). There are also some subtle ones to keep your eyes (and ears_ out for.
Again, the movie is so much fun. I do recommend it.

Disney Duster wrote:I wonder if the reason Disney can't use Giselle is because Amy Adams doesn't want that image used once she starts venturing into other films and other roles. Julie Andrews may have been okay with her image a Johnny Depp already said he loved playing Jack Sparrow and wouldn't mind more chances (i.e. more sequels or spin-offs).
Anyway, I und this cool article about the homages to past princess films:
Disney's Enchanted Homages
That's possible and make sense, maybe she also don't want all the markating like the other Princesses.

for those who;'ve seen it? what do u think of the goofy short that precedes the feature film??

I had completely forgotten about the Goofy short! It wasn't there! I guess this was an Enchanted-only sort of thing.
Well, what's the difference, really? There's still plenty of Enchanted-related stuff they can and do make. It's all a matter of what they can title it as, right?

Yeah,i guess,if she isn't a Disney Princess maybe she was saved from the crazy markating and i guess it is the same just that with other title.
Altouhgt i does think that if the film will do well,we will see Giselle with Aurora and Belle everywhere.

They were VERY nice! I asked Alan Menken to autograph my sketchbook, where I had drawn a few Enchanted characters, and he showed it to Kevin Lima and got him to autograph it, too. They complimented me on my sketches. It was unreal!

I cannot believe that you are all going to see it so soon! I wont be able to see it until it is released on December 14th.
I hope the marketing picks up soon here, as there isnt much stuff around. Still, there is time.
All my friends are excited to see this. When I mention it, people are like "Oooo! I wanna see that!" Which is exciting.
And even Disney critics can't deny that this movie is getting FABULOUS reviews!
It's a shame there is trouble regarding getting the image rights to Amy Adams. But as she seems to be such a Disney fan, I don't see how she would have a problem with it. Or if she did agree, would she have sold herself to Disney? But, as somebody mentioned, Johnny Depp has a long - standing relationship with Disney, as Pirates stuff is still everywhere.

There was a Goofy short? I didn't see it. Was it before the trailers because I walked in during the Natl Treasure 2 Trailer. Maybe my theatre didn't show it? Boo.
I LOVED THE MOVIE. I'll just keep it simple like that.
