OK then, that makes sense. I only have Cinderella with a slipcover. In Region 2 versions, I possess Aladdin and Bambi with a slip cover. Otherwise everything else is slipcover less.

Speaking of the first page, if this is still being kept alive 'The Wild' needs to be added. I was pleasantly surprised it had a slipcover.

Edited to say: Brother Bear 2 too...

The front page needs to be updated...

Little Mermaid came with one, as did The Wild (according to other reports in this thread.)

Also, I don't think they are on the first page, but I believe every wave of the Studio Ghibli titles (except for the first wave) came with slipcovers. These are getting hard to find, however.

The Fox and the Hound is also getting a Slipcover, even though we don't actually know because it hasn't been released, but it has a slipcover.

Thanks for the push. I've updated Jake's post with every thing that was missing, I think. The Ghibli waves were already there, FYI.

Alice In Wonderland- Ordering a Slipcover

Hey-

I'm wondering if anyone here has tried to order slipcovers recently from Disney. How does it work? What do they ask you for? And, i'm particularily wondering if anyone here has tried to order an Alice in Wonderland slipcover. I really want a copy of Alice, but it's near impossible to find one that still has the slipcover, and i'm starting to lose my patience. I have found gamestop stores (2 to be precise) that had AiW, with the cover, but they didn't know how to transfer DVD's and they also said they couldn't. . So, i'm thinking about picking up a copy (maybe even a used one), without the cover, and ordering one from Disney. But I'm not even sure if there's any more slipcovers left for Alice in Wonderland...Also, when you talk to them, do they tell you that they only replace damaged slipcovers? (In other words, you send them the cruddy cover, and you get a new one)?? Or would they ask for some proof of the DVD purchase, and just send me a cover?

I need advice! Thank you in advance!

Oh for the LOVE of GOD!

What do you want more: the movie or the slipcover?

Ask yourself that when faced with the opportunity to buy AiW at a decent price. Damn the slipcover.

But if you want one, then you want one, and the only advice I can give is to call Customer Service. As of late they're more stingy about sending free slipcovers, though you can chance it.

1-800-72-DISNE
(1-800-72-34763)

1.) Call 1-800-72-34763
2.) Press "6" for "other"
3.) Press "0" to reach someone.

TUES-FRIDAY: 9:30 a.m - 6:30 p.m. (central)

How many slipcover threads do we really need? Have they just become the post bumping threads?

Can no one here use the search function on this site?

Perhaps there could be a sticky of some sort about slip covers? It might save trouble in the future.

EDIT: Nevermind, there's stuff about it in the guidelines sticky.

hey, I definately know about the search button, and have used it! BUT, I was hoping that someone here might have recently tried to order an Alice slipcover, and could tell me the results. And, I am pretty sure there's no topic about AiW slipcovers...

And as to why I want one with the cover so badly- Its because it open's like a book, and I doubt Disney will make ones like that anymore. I already missed out on a SB slipcover, and it really saddens me each time I see it on my shelf. (That's another one that I will ask for if I call Disney for an Alice cover...) I guess another reason is that for me, it seemed really easy to find a BatB, Mulan, Pocahontas, Cinderella, TLK, and Aladdin (all somewhat recently), still with the slipcovers, and yet a copy of Alice with one is near impossible to find.

Well, we'll see. I might buy one new at my local music/movie store. They special ordered Alice for me (around 4 weeks ago), and it would only cost $12.95. But apparently their "distributor" has run out of copys (or didn't have a whole lot to begin with), and so they're waiting for a new copy to turn up in one of their stores. So I might just wait and see if they are even able to obtain a copy for me, and I might buy it, slipcover or not.

This reminds me of another question: Many Gamestops / other stores in my area have said that Alice is going back in the vault (when I asked them If the had it), and that it has become very difficult to find. Is this true? If it is, does this mean that Alice is going to be released in BluRay/HDDVD sometime soon? (I remember someone talking about it being released in 2008..)

And I'm very sorry for any anger / annoyance that this topic may have caused. :( :( :(

Don't be sorry brotherbear!
You have every right to write and request anything Disney.

You are in the General Discussion Forum Part!!!!! :D

Even though there were other posts about OTHER slipcovers, you are asking about a certain one. SO I do not see the big deal AT ALL!
You want the slip cover to complete your collection and it's fine by me.
I have all the slip covers to date and I wouldn't want my DVDs without them! They make them look nicer and shows off more of the bonus features.

If someone don't want there slipcovers why don't you make a thread and tell everyone who doesn't have it you don't want yours and you will give it away? Instead of biting everyone's head off when they make a post about a slipcover that someone wants?

Sorry, that just annoys me! 8)
