Really love the image. The Scottish background is just gorgeous.

Regarding the title: Sigh. Why is it that Europe always gives better titles to American made films than America itself?

Thanks for posting, Sotris :)

A noteworthy notion that the film is called Merida and not the local meaning of Brave.

Not just that, it's "Merida: Legend of the Highlands" which sounds awesome!

Ugh... stupid American titles.

It is a catchy title, though I don't have anything against the title of Brave, though. I just hope the title will be doing the movie some justice.

Ugh, but "brave" is a common word! It's not like they're naming the film "Red Sock" or something! Geesh! It's not like the film is even about baseball!

Does anyone think that the renaming of the film could have anything to do with Braveheart??? And/or "The Bear in the Bow" seemed to insinuate violence? In a kids' movie? I mean, it sounds crazy, but this is Disney we're talking about!

Just wondering, Sotiris; Where did you get that drawing of the Disney Princesses as kids?

They are from the "Disney Animators' Collection" line of dolls which are now on sale at Disney Stores. Mark Henn and Glen Keane designed the little version of the princesses on which the dolls were based. Here are some larger versions of the concept art images:

the movie reviewer on the news was showing previews for next years big movies, and brave received quite a decent slot. they showed the trailer with merida making the face at her father. i have to say, as gorgeous as the movie looks on youtube, it looks even better on a tv screen.

the reviewer is normally quite a bitch when it comes to "kids films", and our opinions are usually opposites, but even she was excited for this.

I guess another reason is because it's Pixar's first original (non-sequel) feature in a while.
