Do you think they'll even bother to update the DVDs to a 2-movie collection? When they planned to make Pocahontas a 2-movie collection the 10th anniversary was off the shelves for over a year & the site said unavailable.

Actually I prefer the two-movie package because it saves me having to buy them separately and this way I get the full set on blu. To each their own.

I've felt this way about every 2-movie collection released so far, including Mulan, Brother Bear and Atlantis. But Hunchback is the ONE film I'll buy like this. Several reasons.

One, it's been so long since Hunchback has gotten any attention that a digitally-sourced blu-ray release, even one with no special-features and a cheapquel included, is better than nothing.

Two, it's my favorite Disney.

Three, the artwork makes no mention of the sequel, outside the '2-movie' byline under the title. Unlike EVERY other release, the image features no characters from the sequel and makes it look more classy.

Speaking of classy, my fourth reason: the artwork is GORGEOUS. Even with the off-model gargoyles, this is the best artwork Disney has ever given this film. The blue coloring in the image itself really blends well with the blue of the blu-ray packaging in my opinion. I'm probably going to import the U.K. edition, too, ust so I can have it completely separate from its sequel. But just as a collector and a fan of Hunchback, I'm going to be dropping my anti-sequel vendetta JUST this once. I will not be getting any of the others, though, and will wait and import them.

I'm the minority here. I like the 2 movie collection. Since Pocahontas, I prefer them like this rather than buying them separately.

If you guys don't like the 2nd or 3rd movie, then you can even sell it on Ebay to make extra cash.

The case for them is basically, you get two movies for the price of one.

What I think most people want, or at least on here, is for the real movie to get fleshed out features and editions rather than the lazy way of sticking another whole movie on there to make up for the lack of.

And, even then, these people would have never got the sequel anyway, so to them, it's not getting two movies for the price of one, it's getting one movie except space for potential features gets taken up instead by an inferior production that they never wanted to own.

As someone else also pointed out, they're on the same disc so you can't sell it off.

There's very little that feels like padding in "Hunchback", but what's most unnecessary is the presence of the gargoyles. I believe they simply function as a way to allow Quasi to express his inner feelings. "A Guy Like You" ruins the flow of a very good sequence.

It's really funny... I didn't really appreciate "Hunchback" when it was originally released, and it's only been in the last few years that I've sat back and admired what Disney tried to do. It's beautiful, incredibly moving, tense and heartbreaking. It needs an adult's perspective to appreciate it's dark beauty.

It's brilliant.

I think it works much better than some of the other Disney 90s flicks which pander to kids too much.

But, as per usual, not enough people have the foresight to see it and the executives are too scared to acknowledge it.

I know most of you hate 2-movie collections, and I don't mean to sound like a troll.. but I LOVE THEM!

Hear me out: I'm a broke ass bitch! That's no secret, so for me I feel like I get a little extra for my money since regular movies i.e. Cinderella, Aristocats, Lady etc run for those prices already with virtually nothing new in terms of bonus features.

Was there an official press release for these March 12 releases, or not yet?

I am asking because I would like to know whether these will be available on Blu-Ray in DVD-packaging like Pocahontas and Aristocats or just regular blu-packaging like Treasure Planet and Home On The Range...

I'm lucky enough to live in a region where Disney doesn't do these ridiculous 2 movie collection releases. Hunchback will inevitably released separate from the cheapquel.

I don't get what's so bad about the 2-movie packs. We're getting 2 movies for the price of one. Even if I don't like the second movie, this is quite a bargain.
