Melrose Place - Season Three
So Seasons 2-4 are typically heralded as the best of
Melrose. Season 3 is definitely my favorite so far; it had everything: thrills, chills, hook-ups, baby-stealing, back-stabbing, cults, bombs, murders, attempted murders, lying, cheating, etc. My top three continue to be Kimberly Shaw, Sydney Andrews, and Amanda Woodwork. Marcia Cross, Laura Leighton, and Heather Locklear, without a doubt, carry the show, and more than half of the crazy-ness would be absent without them. Highly enjoyable, and I can't wait for Season 4, which is supposed to be even crazier.

Just finished
Walker, Texas Ranger - Seasons 7 and The Final Season last night. One of my favorite shows when it was on first-run, and now that they devote one day a week on USA, I am getting my fix all over again.
Also completed watching Season Three of
Army Wives again, and it still baffles me why more people aren't watching and commenting on this show. It is one of the best written television shows from The Mark Gordon Company, and distributed through Buena Vista Television. Enough people are watching to make it Lifetime's Number One show, and it has been renewed for Season Five and Six.

My So-Called Life: The Complete Series
Wow. Honestly one of, if not the, best television series I have ever had the pleasure of watching. Winnie Holzman did an amazing thing by creating this amazing TV show. I knew that it was critically acclaimed when I bought it a few months ago, but I honestly didn't think that it would be this
good.
Claire Danes was obviously the best actor as Angela Chase, and still, for me, had the best performance of any teen actor I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of teen dramas. That said, Brian Krakow was my favorite character. I have a lot of Brian in me, mixed with Angela and Rayanne Graff. I LOVED Rayanne. She is such a free-spirit, and doesn't really take anyone's opinions besides her own. A.J. Langer NEEDS more work, as she's such a great actress. The other teenagers in the show, Rickie, Sharon, and the infamous Jordan Catalano, were great as well. I didn't dislike anyone in the cast. The most depressing storyline was that of Rickie Vasquez's. I don't want to give away spoilers, but the Christmas episode, "So-Called Angels", is truly sad and examines such a real dilemma in our society, especially at that time (early/mid 90's.)
Before I continue, I must say this is one of the best DVD sets I own. How they got nearly ALL the cast members (really all of them except Jared Leto) back for interviews, commentary on episodes, and other features was great. Claire Danes and Winnie Holzman seem to share such an intricately woven bond... like they both jump-started each other's careers, and it's fun watching them talk in the featurette "A Conversation with Claire Danes and Winnie Holzman."
The show was often hilarious, such as the running Tino gag and Angela's commentary on her life. Most of all, though, the show was realistic. Never before have I seen such a realistic portrayal of a high school in contemporary times. Angela's introspective thoughts were, verbatim, some of my own thoughts and realizations. I don't know what else to say, really... if you're looking for quality television, look no further because MSCL, I guarantee, will find its place in your heart for the rest of your life.

Hex - Series One
Since this was only six episodes long, I finished it in one day. I really wasn't expecting much going into the show, but I came out loving it. Cassie Hughes is such an interesting character, and I applaud Christina Cole for bringing her "magically" to life. Jemima Rooper, however, excelled with Thelma the lesbian ghost, and played her with emotion, quick-witted humor, and sexual intensity that it was a joy to watch. Alazeal was alright... a typical villain/love interest, it seemed. Same with Troy and Leon. I really liked Roxanne for some reason, even though she was a major bitch to everyone. I'm one episode into Series Two, and am already enjoying it. Recommended!

It took me a bit, I just finished season 2...
I may not start season 3 for a bit, for some reason I'm kind of out of a Dick Van Dyke Show mood, it's really a great show, and funny... I don't know why..
I've been Watching The Monkees Season 1 as well as episodes of Family Dog.

Arrested Development - Season One
I had heard tons of praise for this show, and it truly deserves it. It's hysterical... one of the funniest shows I've ever seen. Jason Bateman heads the cast of kooky characters as Michael Bluth, who basically takes over his eccentric family after his father goes to jail for fraud. His son, George Michael, played by Michael Cera, is very awkward, but in a hilarious way. Portia de Rossi plays Michael's twin sister, Lindsay, who loves her reputation more than her husband and daughter. Speaking of, Tobias cracks me up every time he enters the room, literally. Especially the gay pirate boat party in the pilot. Their daughter, Maeby, played by Alia Shawkat, has an... incest relationship with George Michael, lmao. Jessica Walter plays Lucille, the (grand)mother fantastically. She's unnerving and very... unmother-like. Rouding out the cast are George's two brothers, Gob, played by Will Arnett who is... yeah, and Buster, who is probably my favorite character.
Sorry for all that rambling... just go watch the show!

Weeds - Season Three
I know this season gets a lot of flack for being the worst, and while it was my least favorite of the three so far, I still loved it. I already ordered Season Four, actually lol. But anyway, Nancy is still dealing pot... as well as heroin this season, haha. Joining the cast is Mary-Kate Olsen, who played Tara, Silas's Christian (but weed smoking) girlfriend. She eventually joins "the business." The storyline with Shane and Judah was a little freaky and depressing. Celia and Heylia were definitely the funniest, as usual, and I loved U-Turn! Can't wait for Season 4!

It's been a while since I've seen Arrested Development, I need to rewatch it one of these days...
On a side note, every time I see your avatar, I think it's a girl with pigtails, until I look at it more closely!

Just finished watching
Diners, Drive-ins and Dives - Season Four and am looking forward to more down the road.
One of my favorite Foot Network shows, and I never miss an episode. First show of the first season had segment that was filmed here in Wichita, and I make that restaurant a regular stop at least once a week.
