I've wanted to see this for awhile, and I have to say it's pretty good. I knew most of the songs and the visuals and story was great. 9.5/10

Not a movie, but I'm rewatching Queer As Folk Season 1. I just introduced a fellow poster to the series and want to refresh my memory so I can discuss it better with him! Just saw episode 18 (Brian sees David at the baths, Blake re-enters Ted's life.)

I saw Beverly Hills Chihuahua on Saturday- it was a really, really cute movie! I enjoyed it a lot!

Ghost Town

Nacho Libre on Showtime last Saturday.

I couldn't sleep, I was anxious because my cat had escaped and hadn't come back (he eventually came back, safe and sound), so all I could do is watch TV and Nacho was on.

I'm a not fan of Jared Hess' type of humor. I thought "Napoleon Dynamite" was alright, but I would never call it comedic gold. Nacho displays similar humor, like the awkward silence and conversation between characters, stiff character acting and such, but I enjoyed it A LOT more than Napoleon.

Maybe its because I find the real story that inspired the film a very interesting one, or maybe its because this movie actually has a story while Napoleon was more like a series of skits, but I enjoyed it greatly. The music, the settings, the costumes and even some of the acting was really good.

I give it a 7.

I just watched Jungle 2 Jungle. I hadn't seen it in years, but I've always enjoyed it. It made me laugh, it made me tear up...that is the mark of a great movie. Some of you may laugh at my saying that it's a great movie, but I think it is. It's very enjoyable.

Amy, Jungle 2 Jungle's one of my favorites. But that might just be for nostalgia, it was the only movie I'd watch when I was 8.

I saw Ghost Town last night with mixed expectations.... On one hand, most of America's critics said it was great, and on the other hand the box office for it has been seriously weak. With nothing else to do, I caught the very last showing at the Regal Oviedo 22 before they dropped it and man, I'm glad I saw it. At times, its jokes are too tongue-in-cheek to be laugh worthy and its twists can be very frustrating, but in the end this is a sweet, funny, heartwarming little romantic dramedy that deserves to be seen. Ricky Gervais is great here, even if he seems to flail in spots, always coming back to hook the big laugh. Greg Kinnear and Tea Leoni both give good performances as a ghost with unfinished business, and his somewhat disgruntled widow, respectfully. I give Ghost Town an 8.5 out of 10 and would recommend anyone who enjoys a good mix of comedy, drama, fantasy and romance to give it a rent when it arrives on DVD.

Yeah, its been ages since I last saw "Jungle 2 Jungle". The funny thing about it is that it inspired an in joke between me and my best friend. I like to call him "the big monkey" simply because he is hairy as all hell. Turns out that the movie had a similar idea.

When Tim Allen is shirtless, all the little native boys, including his son, start calling him "baboon" because of his chest hair.

Weird, I know, but I did find it funny how a movie that I barely saw back in the day somehow inspired an in-joke .

Beverly Hills Chihuahua - This was pretty cute. I really enjoyed Piper Perabo, and George Lopez (well, his voice) wasn't even really in it until the end. Drew Barrymore (..her voice) was the main star, which I didn't expect. All in all, a decent Disney live-action film.

I watched the George Hearn/Angela Lansbury verison of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street last night. It was alright, but some of the singing was a bit too operatic for me.

I have the same opinion as I did before: it's spectacular. And now that I have it on Blu-ray, it looks and sounds even better than the last time I saw it. 10/10

Another Cinderella Story - This was okay. The first was definitly better, but I like Selena Gomez. Drew Seeley really annoyed...

The Brady Bunch Movie, Live Free or Die Hard and Airplane

I watched Beetlejuice last night.

In the summer, The Detroit Institute of Arts had a batch of screenings from the 'Muppets, Music & Magic: Jim Henson's Legacy' series. In the summer I saw 'Muppet Fairytales'. There was an old black and white clip of Tales of the Tinkerdee, ending far earlier than the end of the real pilot should (just after "Where's your sense of etiquette, Charlie? C'mon! Let's start writing letters!"), The Shrinkle and Stretchel ad, The Sesame Street News about Rapunzel, Elves And The Shoemaker short from the Muppet Classic Theater Video, and closing the festivities with The Frog Prince (which I had never seen before).

Apparently they did so well that they brought them back with five other things to screen. Yesterday, I went back to the DIA and saw The Muppet Movie. It was covered in scratches and was because of there normally-made-for-super-old-films screen was shown in the pan & scan/open matte version, there were kids who did not know what was going on and crying babies but IT WAS SO FRICKIN' COOL! I had not seen The Muppet Movie in some time (and rested the urge to watch the DVD) so much of it was fresh and new to me. In fact that FINAL cameo simply shocked me this time to a point where I gasped and called his name out (quietly) . There although there were kids who could not appreciate the film I found the audience was made mostly up of adults who were laughin' all the way through. I was great to see a real Muppet movie on the big screen again. It makes me all the more antsy for Jason Segel's film and wish that more movies got theatrical releases. Gosh, this was fun! If the 'Muppets, Music & Magic: Jim Henson's Legacy' series comes to a town near you... GO! You owe it to yourself to get reacquainted with Kermit and Co. or just Jim Henson's world if you pick something like The Dark Crystal or The Storyteller. Point is...Get going!

Surviving Christmas - This was pretty cute, but I thought it would be better. I loved Christina Applegate, as usual.
