Again, I don't see this film as 'poking fun' at previous Disney Fairy Tales; it is paying homage to them, "...but with a modern twist," as Amy Adams said.

That's what i wanted to say,it's not a parody that mock them,it's the Disney Princess films in our world.

I saw the game boy advanced game too... and it had a different title... do you know, is it different?

Really? it's different becouse of the plot-
In the GBA game (Enchanted:Once Upon Andalasia) it's a prequle to the film in which some spirits cast a spell on the animales of Andalasia and Giselle and Pip have to rescue them, there's even a short in which you play as Edward but he dosn't meet Giselle or Pip (it's a prequle).
Does it have the same cover?.
How's the game?

(i can't wait until December 24th).
There's a screen shot (of the DS game,of course) that show Giselle fighting dragon Narrisa with Edward's swored! (i told you that she's no damsle in distrees!!!!).

Oh ok cool.

Yeah, they do have the same cover. If it's a prequel, they should have had the animated Giselle on the cover!
Anyway, so far I've only made the wedding dress....

I started playing as Edward but I died at the very end of his game section, so I had to start over and I was too tired last night....

Yeah,it's only about Andalasia,i think that they should make her animated in the DS cover, too.
Wait, wait, wait, you choose what character you'll play? you can play Giselle whenever you want?

i"m ordering before Decemeber 16th!!!!!!!

You don't choose, first you play as Pip for a short game, then Giselle for awhile, then Edward.... his was a little harder. I didn't understand the instrutions....

I"m confused now,in the beinging you forced to play as Pip or you can choose?.
By the way-how the cut sences looks like? and what do you do in Giselle's level? and in Edward's? (i know that in Pip's level you need to get to the end before you run out of time).

In today's AM New York I saw a an ad for Enchanted that advertised tickets to an advance screening on Monday. I wasn't able to run down to the World of Disney in time to get any, so I have to wait and pay like everyone else, sigh (well, there is a theater that has cheap tickets early mornings, so...).
Took a peek at the dresses again. I even took some pictures with my phone camera. Should I upload them or is this old news and everyone's seen them? I actually managed to find the Enchanted merchandise. The drapes dress was above it (it's so pretty, and there was a picture of some concept art next to it). They really don't have much stuff. The World of Disney is kind of a less than stellar Disney Store, if you ask me, at least when it comes to stocking the latest trends and lines of merchandise.
So, now that we've established that I can't run around yelling "free advance tickets!" I'll tell you about something else in the ad:
This Saturday, Royal Courtiers from the land of Aldalasia will be wandering around Central Park from 12-3.
Yeah, that's kind of all it said. Kind of vague, huh...

Can you post pictures?

I entered some sweepstakes to get free tickets to the movie (the questions were on which movie Sussen got an Oscar in 1996 and which movie James Marsdon appeared).
I can't wait to get the game

(and see the movie,too).
Did anyone saw the sticker album?.

Okay, I guess as soon as I'm done making a fool of myself for this Little Mermaid contest, and if I can find my cell phone cable... I'll get to uploading!

Yeah, it's the Broadwayworld.com one in which you
upload a movie of yourself singing a Little Mermaid Song and people vote for you (for what is the internet if not a popularity contest?).
So, something tells me I should pay the Disney Store a visit with a better camera. Oh, cell phone camera, you are convenient, but lacking in quality.
So, when you walk by the store, you're greeted by the window display: costumes worn by glitter-covered mannequins!
The well-known wedding dress. It's quite pretty. Before seeing this dress in person, I'd never noticed that there's a division showing off a portion of the, um, underskirt. More than half of your frontal view of her is showing here. The amount exposed seems to vary from picture to doll to cartoon.
I wanted to be creative and get a shot of the rear part of the dress. Wow, is that skirt big.
And here I wanted to get some of the detail on her dress. I love all these whispy twirly things, this whole art nouveau-ish look. It'd be a great look to do something animated with, I think, but I guess this is as close as we'll get.
Edward and Giselle at the ball. That's odd.
Too much reflection, but I was trying to get some detail...
Robert is at the ball with... whose dress is that? That look doesn't seem to belong...
I thought I took more pictures of this dress! You can't really see bit of artwork, but Giselle looks like her animated version in it.

I walked through the store once, completely passing this display by. I had to ask about it to find it. I wonder if it was there the last time I walked through and complained they had Enchanted costumes and no stuff. This is all the Enchanted stuff. I guess, being embedded in the Princess section, it gets drowned out by the blinding pink.
Speaking of artwork, has any production art surfaced yet? I eat that stuff up, you know.
At
am New York you can download a PDF of today's paper. the ad is on page 29.
Meet Oryal courtiers from Princess Giselle's Land of Andalasia roaming throughout Central Park Saturday, November 17 from 12pm-3pm!

good luck in the contest

(and it's not silly).

That's Nancy's dress.
Giselle looks scary in the concept art of the blue dress.
If i"ll ever get a chance-should i buy Before The Fall? (altought i don't know if we will have it over here,it's out next week and there's still no marchandise on the internet (maybe i"ll find some in Toys R Us but still)).

Are these the actual costumes worn by the actors or just replicas?

I have a feeling that it's a copies of them.

Nancy, huh. It's a nice dress, but it doesn't look like it belongs.
Well, if you want some screencaps of the animated portion, then why not? I'm hoping a book with illustrations made just for it will come out.
I assume they're actual costumes. If not, they still look really nice.
