I get what you mean now, AUTS! (That's atlanticaunderthesea, for short!) Especially since, when the second volume of "Enchanted Tales" comes out, that'll be the only DVD about Cinderella out (except for the Princess DVD game), so parents will have to buy it in order to add to their Cinderella collection.

Has anyone read the product description part for 'The Little Mermaid III' DVD at Amazon?
"Every story has a beginning but only one begins under the sea…now for the first time ever discover the story you never knew in The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Beginning, an all-new motion picture only on Disney DVD. Long ago, in a kingdom where music is outlawed, King Triton’s youngest daughter, Ariel, discovers her love for music in a secret, underground music club. Torn with the choice of whether to hide her passion or share it with her father and risk losing everything, Ariel sets off on a daring adventure to restore music to Atlantica."

You've got to be kidding me. I mean, what was that dark, mysterious teaser trailer, using music score from "Pirates of the Carribean", for??? To announce another "Enchanted Tales" episode, or, probably, worse? This is what the test audiences thought was extremely good? How much did Disney pay them to say so?
Oh God. Now I'm really depressed. I was hoping that TLM3 would be, like, an epic story, revealing Ursula's past, how Ariel's mom died, how Triton hated humans.... you know, full of mystery, adventure and giving at last the answers that many TLM fans around the world were waiting for, since it's supposed to be the last TLM movie.
But no... Disney decided to add another silly episode to the series. Well done guys, right decision... As artists and creators, boy, you do have guts! And imagination! Pure Disney magic....crap!!

TLM II: Return to the Sea seems to me now more appealing than ever.

I've read better fan fiction. All it is is a re-write of a TLM series episode with Evil Manta. And that episode was far better than what this sounds like it will be. Making Triton a music hater is absolutely stupid. I could see why he hated humans. But music? Being in the movie he is SO PROUD of his daughter's singing! It is totally out of character. Even if they explain it, it still doesn't make a ton of sense. Lemme guess....Triton thinks music is a human-thing!
IMO, I would have loved a prequel of TLM about when Ursula was queen and how King Triton came into power and banished her. Having a REAL villian for a movie makes it SO much more appealing.

I knew this new story wouldn't be good. The older one invovling Ariel's Mom, was much better idea.

People did say the teaser trailer had no bearing on the actual movie .... ... I guess they could be right. Unless Ariel finds the locket which once belonged to her mother, and it plays music ? Thats how she discovers it ? That would be cool.
Triton banning music HAS to be something to do with her mother. I guess we will find out later why that is.
Well, the test screenings are true, and it was a huge positive reaction to the movie. So the magic must be in actually watching the movie.
Don't give up people; we havnt even seen the trailer yet !

"There's nothing left for me to believe in,.. not any more! Sniff, sob.." (Fairy Godmother appears and turns the boring movie in what we all want to see. But we only can watch it 12 times. Then the movie will be what it was before. Only some screencaps will remain to remind us of that beautiful version of TLM3. Then Disney will find out about those magical screencaps and, due to copyright problems, they will be forced to recreate the movie the way the Fairy Godmother made it. And we all will live happily ever after!

Wow...that sounds...TERRIBLE!
the whole idea just sounds ridiculous...music is outlawed? thats like a big WHY and WHAT FOR?? and a why that shouldn't even have to be asked in the first place!
It doesn't even flow well with the first little mermaid since Sebastions the court composer, not to mention all of Tritons daughters sing well, and in the movie it doesn't even seem like Ariel cares that much about music! Geeze She even missed her own concert, yup thats a real love for music lol.
Well my hopes for this one just went rock bottom...I'm hoping thats really only like 50% of the movies main plot and theres some better explanation and the other 50% better be 100% amazing!

Yeah,Disney tricked everyone, the people from the screen testes were actuaullly got kidnapt and Disney brainshed them to love the movie,it's a scheme by the Disney and the US geverment to sell Hannah Montana mrchandise, the fans who were againts the movie got kidnapt and were forced to watch episodes of Hannah Montana.
Seriously, people, you need some imgaination, atlanticaunderthesea and Disney Duster said that the screen testes were good so i believe them.
I think it's just a small plot to show what happend to Ariel's mom,and if it dosn't,so what? it dosn't matter.

I thought Sally Field was the voice of the Villain in this movie?? Allow me to quote from the Front Page of UD past weeks aga aka News Archives:
..... a third Little Mermaid movie, which has been named The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning. The prequel will surface on DVD only on August 26, 2008, boasting the original voice cast, new songs and characters (including Marina Del Ray, a villain voiced by Sally Field),
As for the Amazon description of the film.... That does sound rather horrid.. has the previous plot with Sally Field as a villain been dismantled???

Well... That seems....
I guess Marina Del Ray can be considered the worst (Edit) DISNEY Villain since Edgar the Butler..(from the Aristocats) Perhaps she is a Maid... You know what they say..
The BUTLER DID IT!!!

So we'll find out that he's been brainwashed?

.
Anyway Marina Del Ray will be nice.
The Worse villain (and animation charcter togather with Jaqimo from the dumb Don Bluth's Thumbelina) is Hamsterviel.

Oh yeah, forgot about Sally Field. But still, casting a spell on the king to make him hate music.....Again, Disney stole from itself, that is the Evil Manta's deal. He didn't truly cast a spell, but what he did was the essentially for the same result.
