I was just thinking this too. I tried to do a search and find the pictures of Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast but nothing came up. The style of Pocahontas matches their's exactly. Nevertheless, Wonderful job. Looks better than the original. :thumb:

Also another thing you might want to adjust. The Disney DVD logo is usually in the bottom right side of the front cover.

EDIT: okay. Because Im determined I did a better search and the only thing that came up was the custom cover arts of hermionegranger. Is that you? Also JohnSmith, I just clicked on your link to download and it said that I was forbidden or something. You might wanna fix it. :)
was it this page?

Snow White started.

I used the logo from the actual movie, which I think was perfect.

These covers look great, but I have some constructive criticism on the Sleeping Beauty cover. It's beautiful, but it would be even better if you only concentrated on one image on the cover (preferably the Aurora in the forest one :D), as it would seem less cluttered.

Other covers that I'd love to see you do are ones for:
*Alice in Wonderland
*Aladdin
*Pinocchio
*Peter Pan
*The Little Mermaid
*Dumbo
*Mulan[/i]

Those are some pretty cool covers you got there. I'd love to see a Lion King one though :D

no that was me :D
Actually DaeLex, it was JohnSmith he was speaking of. Back in October, JS started a thread under the user name hermionegranger. http://www.ultimatedisney.com/forum/vie ... php?t=5689

JohnSmith, I like the rose you re-did for BATB cover! But Belle looks off. :( Still beautiful, but I much prefer the other Belle. :)

So far, Snow White looks good...can't wait to see the finished product!

Before anyone starts saying its the worst cover you have done, believe me I tried. lol

Trying to draw animation from 1930 and make it not look strange is a hard thing to do.

I'm trying to honor each of the movies on each cover.

Amazing! I wish I had that king of talent! Although, I exceed in drawing stick figures.

:o Wow! Your talent is amazing! Are you going for art in college (unless you already are in college)? You'd be great if you were hired by some kind of animation company or at least by Disney to do artwork for posters and merhcandise and stuff. You should write to them and ask for a job and show them your portfolio!

How do you draw the sketches? I'm confused. Do you draw them with a mouse in Photoshop or do you draw them and then scan them into the computer and then photoshop them?

Anyhow, all your covers are awesome! My favorites are Sleeping Beauty and Pocahontas (which I would love to print out since their official covers are not very good). My only complaint is that on the front covers the two sketches are too close together. I would either move them further apart or focus on the bigger sketch like someone else previously said. But this is your art so you have the freedom to keep it how it is. :)

Also, you should contact Luke so he can reboot your old account or whatever since he would rather not have you with two accounts.
Luke wrote:John/hermione, you're not really encouraged to have two separate accounts here. If you want me to reset the hermionegranger password, I can do that for you. Send me an e-mail either way so I can close the duplicate account of your choosing. Thanks!
As far as requests...only if you have time! I would also like to see a Mulan art and Hunchback of Notre Dame. If you are trying live action, I'd like The Happiest Millionaire. The Anchor Bay DVD cover would look cool if sketched. Fred MacMurray's face (the current cover) is just isn't that exciting. Though he is the Happiest Millionaire, his cover is still boring.

EDIT: For your Snow White art...I applaud your valiant attempt in drawing Snow White :) . The Snow White and Prince kiss looks great, though for the Snow White sketch, maybe it will be easier to draw her with her face at an angle rather than a mug shot. Her face seems like it is too long, maybe it needs to be rounder? I don't mean to be mean, but she looks kind of scary  . Maybe you can do the part where a bird lands on her finger...but then the cover will look a lot like Sleeping Beauty's!

I don't think I can criticize you JohnSmith because I'm terrible in sketching on Photoshop. and with a pencil too. But Kram made a good suggestion! About Snow White and the bird that lands on her finger!

P.S. You draw Snow White better than I could ever. :lol:so good job! :)
I LOVE the Prince & SW kiss! :thumb:

My original idea was the bird of her finger, but I wanted to go for something different, sothing that showed how old her style was.

It will prob change as Im not happy with her too.
