I still say they should merge companies and come out with a new soft drink called Poke!

Since WDW is Coke-happy, I preferred Coke in Florida, but now back at home I prefer Pepsi, lol.

I find myself drinking more and more water and lemonade instead of orange juice, soft drinks, or milk. I'll drink milk in the morning and such, but if I were to have a recreational drink, it'd probably be water or lemonade. Don't know why, but I have a strange fascination with lemonade.

And of course, hot chocolate. Even in the summer, I'd drink it. The fake powdered stuff too. I've never tried the *authentic* hot chocolate, though I hear it's much better than the powder+water.

Actually I don't have a preference, unless it's on sale. My college is biased to Coke so that's about all I get anymore, but I see no real difference in taste.

I'm a Coke man... or to be more specific, a Cherry Coke man. I've actually been drinking a lot more water lately... lost 15 pounds doing that.

but remember to drink no more than the necessary, becasue all in excess is harmfull, even water(just ask to the Titanic guys )

Vanilla Coke! That's my favourite. I'm trying to cut down on pop except my Vanilla Coke.

Coke vs. Pepsi
Coca-Cola vs. Pepsi - Coca-Cola Classic wins by a tiny bit.
Diet Coke vs. Diet Pepsi - Diet Pepsi wins. Diet Coke tastes like ashtry to me and makes me queasy.
Vanilla Coke vs. Vanilla Pepsi - Vanilla Coke obviously!
Cherry Coke vs. Very Cherry Pepsi - cherry Pepsi for me. I like Cherry Coke but Pepsi's hard to find cherry flavoured pop wins for me.
Coke 2 Pepsi 2 - It's a tie.

Sprite/Sierra Mist/7up
Growing up I loved Sprite and it was my favourite pop but 7up delievered a drink with more lemon and lime so I turned to that and it comes in many different flavours.
I've never had Sierra Mist. It's not popular in my part of Canada I suppose.
Others somewhat similar like Mountain Dew I like. I hear it's vile in the Us though. Up in Canada it tastes good.

Gatorade
Love it. I'm addicted to Lemon-Lime and I always have some. Gatorade beats Powerade since they don't have a lemon or lime flavoured option.

Water
I like it and I drink more than I used to. It's not my favourite even though I drink enough a day and it's better than milk (except banana flavoured milk!)

Other
I like so many others. I love drinking a bit of everything except cream soda. BLECH!

To address the original post, there's nothing strange about having a strong preference, since they all taste so different (mostly). Pepsi is weaker and sweeter than coke, it's like coke when it goes flat, and I'll never understand how people can LIKE Dr. Pepper. I HATE the taste of Dr. Pepper. Talk about tasting like medicine! I'm a Coca Cola addict, myself. If I don't have diabetes, it's amazing! (knock on wood!) I mean, I hardly ever drink anything besides Coke, Sprite, or milk. I'm sure it's the reason I need to get back into shape lately, ha, as I don't eat more than your average Joe, and a lot less than some of my fitter friends. Of course, I also don't get much exercise. I'm also suspicious that Coke is the reason I had to have so much dental work in college (all cavity related). You wouldn't have noticed to look at my otherwise gorgeous teeth, but apparently they were all hollow, ha.

I'm a diet coke addict. I hate Pepsi!! It tastes much sweeter than Coke and it has this weird taste after swallowing it. Eeewww!!! I also love Dr. Pepper, but you can't buy that one in Germany so I only get to drink it when I go to the States ot the UK. Many people don't like Dr Pepper, but I do.
When it comes to Sprite or 7up I prefer 7up. It tastes more like lemon and kind of fresher than Sprite does.

I'm certainly pleased Coke beats Pepsi as best! There was a time when I used to like both, but then one day, while on a cross-country road trip to the East Coast, we stopped in Atlanta to visit the World of Coca-Cola and to my mother's annoyance, I pretty much swore off Pepsi ever since. I will never touch Pepsi again, not the cola anyway. If I'm forced to go a restaurant with Pepsi products as the soda, I will usually get Sierra Mist instead. But I really love Coke the best and I always will!!

I drink "Sugar Coke" (my expression) from time to time, but try to limit my consumption - I get enough sugar as it is, I'm sure. I drink a lot more of "Pepsi Max", which is a "Diet Pepsi" for sale here. On the other hand, now there's also a new "Coca Cola Zero" that tastes better than the old "Coca Cola Light".

Actually, I'm on a low-carb diet and trying to lose some weight. So sometimes, instead of regular Coke, I drink Coke Zero, which has no carbs, so it tastes like regular Coke but without the compromised flavor in Diet Coke, which I also drink sometimes.

i drink water more than anything. i am used to drinking coke as that's what my mom bought as i was growing up, but i know that i prefer cherry and vanilla pepsi. they only sell coke products at my school so i drink diet coke during my school day, but at the store i'd probably pick up pepsi before coke.

Having grown up in Atlanta it is a sin to answer anything other than Coke.

I have always been a Pepsi person, but lately I find myself drinking a lot of Coke simply because it is either on sale or because there is no othe cola alternative. Now I can drink either, but if I had my choice between the two, I would pick Pepsi
