After watching my great-grandmother die from them. And watching my grandmother suffer from them with asthma and emphazema (sp?) and watch and help her everyday with all her oxygen machines and how she can't barely get around a small store anymore without a constant supply of oxygen and losing her breath....No, I've never smoked. Nor will I ever smoke. My parents don't smoke either.

I not only find smoking disgusting, I think its stupid. You might as well have your lungs shrunk to the size of jelly beans right now and inject yourself with a dose of cancer everyday. I voted yes to having smoking banned from restauraunts here in Florida and another bill is on the way to having smoking banned around children, I'll vote yes for that too. If people want to slowly kill themselves, that's fine, but keep it away from my child and my child's friends.

I also saw how careless smokers caused so many fires here in Florida in 1998. A large part of those fires were caused by smokers tossing their cigarettes on the ground or out the window. I know not all smokers are so stupid and irrespondsible as to throw out their trash like that. Most of my friends are smokers and they care about others well beings and the enviroment not to throw them down. A lot of those cigarette litter bugs may be suprised to hear how many animals and toddlers have gotten very ill or died from nicotine overdoses from eating those cigarette butts. Most cars have ashtrays, they are there for your cigarettes, not coins.

LOL, the Disney things reminds me of a recent Girl Scout cookie both incident with a smoker. We are outside of Walmart. Right behind my table are TWO no smoking signs. A woman comes out and lights up directly next to the cookie booth and the smoke blows right over to the girls. I turned and asked her to smoke elsewhere. It was sprinkling out and we had taken all the space up under the awning. And she says she doesn't want to get wet. So I replied, "Well my girls don't want to die of cancer. You won't melt will you? Besides, the TWO signs do say you can't legally smoke here."
She got really ticked off and left. But f'her. LOL

I'm very happy that where I live they introduced a smoking ban a while ago. It started with banning smoking from public places like shopping malls and restaurants, and as of last year, smoking is not even allowed in bars and clubs anymore! Horray!

They passed a no smoking law in Nevada last December. No Smoking any where that serves food, instate buildings, daycares, andalot of other places. But they can still smoke in Casinos and Bars that dont sell food.
Now they are trying to pass a law to stop people under 18 from smoking, If your under 18 and get caught smoking it will be a crime

Seventeen. Non-smoker. Too many bad side effects come to those who smoke.

I'm pleased to announce to U.D that I'm defintly not a smoker, nor will I experiment on smoking, and I'm fine with people who do smoke. 'sides the stuff sounds disturbing anyways.

I'm proud to say that I am a non-smoker. Never have tried it and never will. My mom smokes, though my whole family is trying to get her to quit. I understand that it's hard, she's been smoking since she was 15 years-old, so she can't just give it up cold-turkey. Thankfully she doesn't smoke inside the house. She realizes that second-hand smoke is just as bad smoking yourself, so she smokes outside to protect us, not to mention the smell it would leave in our house. I just hope and pray that she'll protect herself as well by giving it up soon.

I have never smoked once in my life and I never plan to. I don't think my asthma would agree with it  .

Making this post exactly two years since my last one, my answer is still no, and definitely do not plan on doing so.

No, I do not smoke, and plan never to. Both pairs of my grandparents smoke, though, but it's a disgusting habit. I just can't breathe! There's no way I'll ever want to smoke. Unfortunatley, it's additive, and we can't blame those who do it. It's just something that happens, and ultimately affects your life in the process.

I've smoked just cause I wanted to try it. Didnt find anything appealing about it, though. It was pretty dumb.
