I saw it the other day and really enjoyed the movie. I'm not sure if I rank it higher than 'Finding Nemo' though... both are tops for me when it comes to Pixar.

I thought 'Jack Jack Attack' was great but like a couple other said it was kinda short. Yeah, yeah it's supposed to be short because it is a short but Walt Disney and Warner Bros. has spoiled me with animated shorts in the seven minute range. In a short a few minutes makes a difference. IT was good anyways. :)

I also saw Boundin' for the first time and I really loved that animated short as well. I found it really 'cute' I guess you could say and I would love to see more from Bud Luckey.

I like the packaging, the cover art is passable, the menus are great and the bonus features I have seen so far are enjoyable.

Hmm, a couple of certain sequences of Puss 'n Boots from Shrek come to mind, but he's not a Disney property, LOL!
Ciaobelli wrote:Only complaint is the complete lack of the voice actors.
Yeah, that's a feature that seems to be biting the dust lately. What gives? :(
I don't get it. The miyazaki dvd's are getting voice actors" as the MAIN feature, and Disney... well you know.

The DVD is "Incredible" (pun intended), i loved this movie in theaters, liked it about as much if not more than nemo...and so far this dvd set looks better than nemo's, Nemo's making of had alot of uneccesary things, so hopefully this will will be more informative. The Menu's are great, love the fast paced feel of it. All in all a great disc treatment for a great film.

Well, I think that the voice work in the Miyazaki films are considered a big deal because that's the only thing that really separates it from the original Japanese version. And it's the only thing that Disney really had its hand in creating, as it was totally produced by a whole other studio. All Disney did was buy the rights to the movies, slap on some subtitles, and produce the English voice track.

Still, the voice track is certainly an important factor in any animated movie, and I'm confused as to why they don't bother with this feature much anymore. This really upsets me, as it's one of my favorite bonus features.

Then it just looks uglier & weirder.
The way to answer that would've been...switch it with a regular Black DVD case that holds 2-Discs.

If it bothers you that much, I'm sure buying new DVD cases won't be a problem. :P

It bothers me too...but I'm letting it go.

That's weird. The DVD case I have didn't have those stupid strap things. Pixar's never used them before; and apparently didn't for Canada.

Yeah I'm confused... strap things? Like those plastic pieces that break off easy? I think that's what it sounds like. Yeah we didn't get those in Canada.

The only two movies I have with those is 'The Prince of Egypt' and 'Chicken Run'. I've never broken one off but I know people who have had thta happen.

I just found some good easter eggs on the disc two; in every single menu (except for the boundin one) if you wait a little, an icon will appear on the top right corner of the screen, if you select that, you can watch some silly stuff, since a weird sequence of button pressing and door closing scenes from the movie with a Verdi opera sound, to a really funny sock-puppet version of the film... great!!

Here are some more thoughts on the DVD:

1. The "More Making of" is the highlight of the DVD. It's gives great information on animation, story and music. It goes in much more detail than the "Making of" feature which is what I loved about it.

2. The commentary by Brad Bird and the producer was okay. I not a huge fan of commentaries and this one had some intresting moments, I wouldn't watch it again.

3. The deleated scenes were fun. There probably were a few more but I overall enjoyed it.

4. The Incrediblunders were fun. Some were a bit freaky but I enjoyed it.

5. Boundin and the Commentary are on the film. I used to hate this short but the more times I watched it, the more I like it. Overall not the best short still fun. Though the commentary isn't much, the "Who is Bud Lucky?" is one of the better features on the DVD.

6. The documentary on the voice of Violet I just didn't get. It seemed she was only on the DVD just to brag how much she knew american history. Though she talks about the movie some what, I wanted her to talk more about it.

7. Aside from the easter egg on the first disc(the one where he dances to his radio) all of the easter eggs were fun! My favorite was the Sock Puppet!

The Vowelett feature is probably the most disappointing, I turned it off after a couple of minutes. I don't need an American History lesson from Violet :x

Ahaha, I know what you mean. That one clip with Syndrome and Mirage-tan actually disturbed me. o.o

I was watching the movie again last night, and during the dash chase scene, I had a deja vu feeling.. While running through the jungle.. It reminded me of Star Wars when Luke was flying through the woods being chased on the (can't remember the name) motorcycle flying like things.. Scene and sounds were almost identical.

And then when Dash ran out of the jungle and across the flats, it reminded me of SW Episode 1 when Ani was racing..

Anyone else get this vibe? Or am I off my incredible rocker?

I'm listening to the director commentary and after 1 hour I am still waiting for some interesting information. He keeps saying "animator name" did an awsome job here. Sorry if I can't mention everyone that worked on this scene. Rinse and repeat. A huge disappointment. :(

Is the animator one any better?
