I actually just watched The Incredibles last. What can be said about this movie that hasn't already been said? It's an amazingly deep movie (especially for an animated movie), that really doesn't have a boring spot in it. The Animation is top-notch and I wish Pixar would stay with Disney. But, I'm sure that wherever they end up, they'll continue to make some of the best animated features

I just watched Teacher's Pet An absolutely fantastic film! I'd forgotten just how bizarre it is! And I lost count of the number of Disney parodies and references!

Well, I just watched Hero, which is not technically a Disney film, but it was released through Miramax in America, and through BVHE here.
So kinda...

Last night I watched:
Aladdin - As usual, funny and enjoyable. The animation doesn't show its age, even after 13 years! Without a doubt this is a masterpiece.
Pocahontas - A truely underrated classic. Sure, it has its flaws (especially when compared to the previous release of The Lion King) but it's still one of those movies that touch you emotionally and make you laugh all at once!
Today I watched:
Sleeping Beauty - Incredible really... The animation looks so modern and fresh even after 40+ years, and the storylines is one of the better ones of old school Disney. Plus, it has Malificant in it!
Dinosaur - This is NOT as bad as people make it to be. Sure, the story is light but TENG also has a light one yet it's accepted. Music is truely beautiful, animation is some of the best I've seen and there are some positive messages in the movie. I liked it.

Judging from that comment I guess you aren't a fan of some of the older classics? (nope not being rude I hope but just curious

I'm kinda mixed about them. A lot of them have a feel of TV episodes joined together to make a movie (Sword in the Stone, Bambi, Alice etc). I do like them, but some of them tend to get boring (especially SitS). But there are some I really like (Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Snow White, Lady and the Tramp etc)... Also some songs feel dated. I guess it depends on what movie I'm watching...

Here are some films I've watched a while ago:
Finding Nemo: Pixar lost the magic with this one. Not very funny.
Monster's Inc.: Hilarious film! Even better than Finding Nemo!
The Incredibles: This might be my favorite movie of all time! Yes it's that good!
Jungle Book: Got to love the Classics!
Toy Story: The first of Pixar still holds out today!
Brother Bear: No Lion King, but very underrated. Should've gotten more money at the box office!

Wow sort of shocked but I do know people who don't enjoy some of the classics too. I just find it hard to believe but then I remember when I was a kid I thought 'Sword in the Stone' was boring too but now I like it.
I don't see the TV episodes joined together comment but I do see how you and some others say the songs and animation are dated. I like that though but for some people it's not their thing.

This morning I watched
Princess of Thieves with Keira Knightly as Gwyn, Robin Hood's daughter. Yeah I finally got around to watching it after buying it the same day as 'The Incredibles' and last night I put it in but a friend came over, then I saw 'The Apprentice' and then something else happened so anywatys I had to post-pone it until this morning.
This morning I needed cheering up and this movie did help. I love adventure movies like this although I was a bit worried it might be too childish since it was on 'The Wonderful World of Disney'. I like WWoD but a story like this I thought would be too tame for my liking.
I was pleasantly surprised. It had Hercules/ Xena typed violence but I like that at times and I didn't except much more. The story was enjoyable and if you could get past some historical innacuraces and enjoy it for what it is you'll like it. (I am a bit rusty and not too knowledgable but Philip was 'good' here and in real life he was more on the bad side)
The minor things that bothered me a bit was one scne just felt like it came from nowhere and it felt like I had missed something or they cut something. Maybe I just wasn't paying enough attention but it did feel like my DVD player skipped a chapter! Apparently my DVD player is working fine however.
Another scene felt really Hercules/Xena-ish when the 'bad' guys retreated when they really could have carried on fighting. I wondered why the Sherriff only shot one arrow... ran out?

It's just odd that his troops could do that much.
There wasn't tons of violence. There is death but you don't see bodies lying around.
Anyways that's all. I really enjoyed it even if it wasn't perfect.

I watched The Princess Diaries 2: A Royal Engagement for the first time last weekend. I thought it was quite good and much better than my expectations, though it of course wasn't as good as the original. At times it crossed the line into excessively girly, something the original didn't do, but it was only occasional. Seeing Julie Andrews quite a bit more this time around was a treat and having her sing was an even bigger treat. She still sounds very good, though it's apparent that her voice has sustained damage. Thank God we got so much of her talent in film before she had to undergo surgery.
Spoiler: It was obvious that she was going to end up with Lord whats-his-name from almost the beginning, but for a long time I was really hoping she wouldn't and didn't like where the movie was going, but by the end, I had switched who I was rooting for. I liked how that developed. I also didn't foresee the way in which they played out the ending, which was also cool.

That's why I can't stand the majority of Peter Pan.
I watched Fox and the Hound early this morning. This now beats out The Lion King as my absolute
least favorite Disney animated feature. It was so incredibly offensive, I almost vomited. And no, I'm not joking. Or was it that, it was so incredibly boring? The part I nearly vomited at, well the first, was that song "Lack of Education". It was like listening to screeching cats serenade a marathon of Lateesha/Luwanneda/Kahmodeesha's scratching their ultra-long press-on nine-inch-nails (that would make Freddy Krueger's hair stand on end) on a chalkboard- we're talking I actually thought my ears were bleeding at one point. What can I say-I'm very sensitive to sound.
Apart from that, I have a huge problem with this film condoning hunting for sport, and making protagonists out of soulless murderers (until the ending of course when all is set right and they are made into protagonists again after their short but convincing stint as villains). I also have a big problem with famous actors like Mickey Rooney and Kurt Russell being the voices of the grown fox and hound, and later Sandy Duncan as Vixie (which is not even a good name). For one, I absolutely was unable to get the actual picture of each actor out of my head while they spoke. For another, they spoke far too loudly, finished sentences too quickly. This movie recycles a bit of animation from Sword in the Stone, of squirrel-Wart jumping trees. Also it reuses a line from the animated-101 Dalmatians that bugged me- if you watch the two back-to-back you will
not miss it. Also, I can't help but be bothered by the fact that this is so the wrong time for Disney to change their formula this way- by not making clear villains and heroes. It's too much like Bambi, and there is only one Bambi. It's the same growing up lesson, only with two main characters, which means neither is compelling enough to warrant the split.

Lazario, your hate for the Fox and the Hound worries me...

Gosh, I always remembered it as a medicore production, but isn't this a bit much? It can't be THAT bad...

I watched Bambi for the first time ever. I had it on VHS for years but never watched it. I brought the special edition DVD and decided to see what it was like. Surprisingly, i though it was quite good. I always thought it was going to be rubbish but it was great.

Well, it's possible that upon a repeat viewing, I might be in a better mood. Because this reaction was definitely based upon my having not seen the film in quite awhile prior to yesterday's viewing. But, um, did you not read my reasons for disliking the film? I don't think there's much hope for this film in my eyes.

Since I just got it back and all this talk (even tohugh bad) was going on I was tempted to watch
The Fox and the Hound yet again.

I love it.

I just finished watching Lady and the Tramp 2 Scamp's Adventure for the first time and it was not as good as I thought it would be, then again when do I like sequels? Although near the end it did get pretty good. Worth a watch if your a big time Lady and the Tramp fan
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

For the first time I actually watched Monsters, Inc. beginning to end and I have no clue why people say this was Pixars weakest film I really enjoyed it!! It was so much better than I thought it would be! It had great characters, and some good laughs!! I also enjoyed the villain of the movie Randall. Definately worth a watch if not yet seen, i'm getting this movie while I still can cause I saw in the flyers the other day that A Bug's Life, Monsters Inc. and Finding nemo are available for a limited time only. So i'll be picking up a copy! Two thumbs up for Pixar

Just finished watching Pollyanna. It's a good movie. I was about 10 when I first saw it. Now being an adult, it never fails but near the end when Dr. Chilton carries Pollyanna out to meet all the people that want to wish here well, I end up crying. It didn't happen to me when I was a child.
