yendor wrote:So, DisneyKid, it's all about money, huh? And that's the only reason why something's included as a Platinum? Well, according to your friend Jayden, "Robin Hood" was an incredibly successful animated post-Walt hit. Using your logic, it would be a shoe-in for a Platinum. But guess what? It's not a Platinum.

Gee, there goes your logic.

Read my post again oh mighty sophisticated one...

:D The idea is just so tempting! Imagine a three disk edition for all the rereleases. What a dream!

If only all their movies could get Platinum treatment. The others I can think of are Sword in the Stone and Dumbo. The newer movies, to me, don't really need "restoration."

I think Dumbo should be released as a Platinum Edition dvd.

i think that the Platinum edition dvds will never be finished...in a a couple of years... they will prob continue the line and put out a Lilo and Stitch PE, Brother Bear PE, Treasure Planet PE, and other recent classics

I don't think so. Lilo & Stich will get a SE if I've understood right and there's already four new PE's (confirmed?) coming after the ones that our now listed. I wouldn't really mind a Brother Bear PE, but hasn't it already got a SE in France or something?

no need for it. ;)
It's had its Gold Collection and now Special Edition.
I doubt it'd be release as Platinum Edition..
(then again, people were saying Sleeping Beauty might have a PE release. I hope not...the SE was great! :D)

There is actually one that I would like to see join the Platinum line and that is Oliver and Company. It's a great movie and I think it deserves to have a new release. A Special Edition would actually be good enough for me.
