I think, over however amount of time, ALL Disney movies should (and will) get 2 disc treatment.
Look at Sleeping Beauty, a Platinum DVD in every way, with the exception of the name.
Platinum or Special Edition, Ill own 'em all.

DVDisney-Yeah, you're probably right. Although we all know Disney's only doing that to rake in more money, I don't care because we still benefit from 2-disc releases.

The News from France just confirm that Cinderella is indeed coming soon...
at least for a Mexican release

Then I think the supposed "new" platinums-Pinocchio, Fantasia, Peter Pan, Sleeping Beauty-will instead become 2-disc special editions which is the route Sleeping Beauty seems to have went.

i hope, i hope, i hope cinderella comes out on dvd really soon. i can't take the wait anymore!! i haven't seen it in years until last month at a bridal shower. the kids were watching it and i watched it with them. brought back a lot of memories.
Maybe it is coming soon...

I've been reading the forum as always, but I haven't post anything in a while.
Well... this old topic is brought back to life because some other disney fan at the doblajedisney.com forum informs that "Linea Disney" (the WDC Mexico hotline) is saying that Cinderella will premiere on DVD this spring (Obviusly an MX an Latin America release)
As you know April 30th in Mexico is the "kid's day" and ever since 2002 (well or since I got interested to pay attention to this) WDC Mx makes this month a highly promotional one for Disney products. Under the label "La alegria de ser niño" (the joy to be kid) in 2002 saw the release of 2 special VHS packages includind 4 Disney classics each. On 2003 the "joy to be kid" april's titles were Sleeping Beauty and Treasure Planet (both DVD)...
It all sems that 2004 will bring the DVD of Cinderella and Brother Bear under this marketing strategy...
let's see if this turns out to be truth, remember we were expecting Cinderella back on October 2003...
or else, we can wait just 3 more months...
this is good news for collectionits or extreme Cinderella fans, because every disney dvd here is trilingual and we'll get English, Spanish and Portuguese or French 5.1 tracks.. and so we'll not have to wait until fall 2005 or even 2006...

I think this means that we will get "Cinderella" this year here in Brazil as well.

I checked it out and it is a maby release maby not release. Disney is still discussing the release plans on it.
