I demoed this recently.. it's going to be amazing. The version we had was a bit glitchy and crashed a few times, but it was really entertaining. Violet from the Incredibles is currently the most powerful character in the game.

I might pass on doing this right away.

How come? I think everyone that is interested should at least give the starter pack a shot, if for nothing else than to encourage Disney to move forward with this, with other playsets and characters and expansions and whatnot.

I'm just not sure, the price is kinda hanging me up, and there's another hobby I'm getting into at the moment. I might get the starter pack, because Amazon throws in an extra figure which is a incentive so yeah I'll probably do that. As far as any other figures, I'll just have to see. I'm kinda not that big of a gamer as I used to be but now that I got my 20GB PS3 online I think I'll give it a shot

Yeah, the price is definitely a little steep. Im hoping there will be some good sales.

So I don't know if anyone here visits the disneyinfinityfans forum, but it's been confirmed recently that there will be character figures for characters that don't have their own playset - which opens up the possibilities of them doing figures for some of the more obscure characters, since they don't have to spend all the time and money building an entire world for them.

I'm rooting for Disney afternoon figures!

The total lack of DAC/cartoon short characters is rather depressing for me. While, yes, I was excited at seeing the dodo bird from Alice, and Cinderella's carriage, it would still be quite nice to have actual characters in there. I also found it rather surprising that they didn't include at -least- Mickey in the starter pack. I think it would have nicely rounded out the starter pack, having Jack to represent Live Action, Mickey to dual represent Cartoon Shorts and DAC's/Disney banner stuff, and then Sulley or Mr. Incredible to represent Pixar.

That's just my thought on that bit.

A large part of me wants to get this game. However, part of me is going "Ouch" at the price, and potential upkeep that would be needed to buy future characters, and discs etc. That can start becoming really pricey.


Also, it makes me happy to see that you can very likely play as villains. From the look of it, you can play as Syndrome, Barbossa, and Davy Jones, so Maleficent and co. aren't that much of a stretch.

Agreed that I wish they would get some classic Disney representation in there. I'm sure it's coming, but I think they need to get it in there as soon as possible.

Also, you can add Randall to your list of playable villains!

I've been surfing the Disney Infinity forum a bit, and from what I have read, you can play as Emperor Zurg as well. I'm not 100% sure on if this is true or not, but I'm really hoping it is.

I'm honestly not sure if I will bother with the Cars play set etc. I never fully enjoyed Lightning McQueen or Mater, or at least I never cared for them thus far, but it has been quite a few years since I have watched the film.


On another note, I have been going over the different Circle and Hexagon discs, and I'm liking what I see. For those of you who have not seen it yet, here is a link to the post on the Disney Infinity Fans topic.

So, while I was demoing, I chose the carriage. It's super cute to ride around in. In Toy box mode, you can shrink and grow things. When you grow the carriage, it gets monster truck wheels. You can even add missiles and rockets on to it hahaha The rep there said they ruffled some feathers with that and had to get approval to even use the carriage.

From the looks of it, we're going to be getting some sort of announcement tomorrow. Some are guessing it's the Wreck-it Ralph playset. On the WIR facebook page, they also posted that they've got big news tomorrow, so I think that's a good guess.

No, unfortunately. We're going to be filming a training video with them sometime over the next month so I'm going to try and poke around then. This time was with a pretty large group and everyone was asking stupid questions like "why are there two spots for figures?"

I'm sort of confused as to how the power discs work with Toy Box mode. Can you only have 3 available in Toy Box at any given time? Or do you just use them once in Toy Box and they stay unlocked and in use? It would be a shame if you can only use 3, since that winds up being limiting.

I agree. Sort of like seeing a Disney movie on opening weekend to boost initial numbers.
I have the starter pack and some accessories pre-ordered already. I can't wait to get my hands on this - I have very high hopes for it.

The folks over at Open Vault Disney/The Disney Afternoon Forever are going to start a petition in an effort to get Disney to add Disney Afternoon characters into Disney Infinity. It's not farfetched of a possibility right now, compared to maybe when Disney Infinity was announced. The Disney Afternoon is a big hot item right now with video games, DVD release, vinylmations, pins etc and Disney I think recognizes this. The petition event will happen this Friday on August 2nd. I would love to see some characters in the game with Gummi Berry Juice.

It comes out this week! Frankly I think it will bomb. It's just too expensive for a game most people will incorrectly think is for little kids.

But wave 2 characters were announced at D23:










Toy Story was also announced as the 6th playset, with Buzz, Woody, and Jessie figures included.

And there will be an interactive Disneyland available for download in the toybox

No way will it bomb. A couple days ago it was listed at the second best selling preorder on bestbuy.com, second only to a little game called Grand Theft Auto.

Finally, we have our Mickey. Now people can shut up about it. I constantly hear people asking why he's not in it. You really think they wouldn't put their main mascot in the game?

He looks better than I would have expected in this style, which as I think I mentioned Im really not too fond of for a lot of characters. It really suits him though. A number of of the wave 2 figures turned out pretty good in fact.

Although I seriously hope that anna is not final. She's as crossed eyed if not more so than her initial leaked promo art. I mean if that's what they were aiming for they got it down. but hopefully these are just early prototypes.
