^Even though they label it 720p it's not a true representation of HD... I looks bad though... Especially her claws!

And yea Marky!
By the way I finally go to talk to Floyd Norman, animator on Sleeping Beauty and other films, about this. He said he saw the mistakes, but there's only so much he or anyone can do to get through to Disney. He told me there were some forums that Disney pays attention to, like Laughing Place and Jim Hill Media, so after the Blu-ray comes out, and if it still has these mistakes, I might go around those places showing everyone how Cinderella's restoration was botched and needs to be done right.
Why wait until then? I say do it now. The sooner the better.
While we're at it, the Lion King clouds error needs to be brought up to so a possible replacement disc can be created.
Oh and I love your new avatar!

Thank you about my avatar! The reason I'm waiting till the Blu-ray is to see if the Blu-ray has the same mistakes, no use telling people there were mistakes if they fixed them. But it doesn't look like they did fix them!
Thank you
Lnds500 for the...sad sad evidence this did not fix the mistakes...
271286 is right about her hands being freakin' claws!

You're welcome! Oh and you don't have to say the Diamond's messed up. Talk about the Platinum and how you hope the Diamond fixes those problems.

Thank you for the encouragement, but since the Blu-ray will be here very soon, I am going to wait. It won't be so long.

Guys, our fears were justified...it appears that as all restorations for the then platinum editions were done on HD masters since the 2004 release of Bambi, the upcoming Diamond edition of Cinderella features the same DNR and color tampering as the platinum edition as evident in the official Youtube Disney page

I am ashamed to say that I honestly felt surprised when I heard Illene Woods talking as Cinderella, as I am so used to Jennifer Hale ! Literally felt quite shocked ... ?!

Odd considering Bambi ended up getting a new master anyway.

I'm sad about this, but I'm waiting till I actually see the Blu-ray on my HD TV before I really get down about this.

I'm not sure. Except for the fact that the Bluray release of Bambi is in HD, it's identical to the Platinum Editon released on DVD year earlier

How can animation be removed by a professional restortation company?
Maybe the screenshots are poorly done? Did they really mess up the color of her rags?

sometimes if a line is thin enough, the digital coloring programs wont recognize it and will instead paint over it.
as for removing animation, a lot does get removed for protection.

I have recently viewed the bluray and if this question has aleady been asked I must have missed that page! So apologies in advance!
I was wondering whether anyone has actually contacted Disney with screen caps/evidence of the errors. If so, did you get a reply and what was it?
Pretty sure we can't assume Disney reads these posts but they do reply when contacted, don't they?
I just wonder whether they are fully aware of the 'missing' information and the more obtrusive colour corrections (fairy God mother's blouse, etc.).
I'm asking as I really can't believe a company such as Disney would allow this to happen to any of their animated titles. I normally don't mind minor colour changes ie warmer/colder hues but to clearly alter colours so that separate parts of an outfit now appear to be one is too far! That and the, more unforgivable, fact that Cinderella now has claws on at least two occasions and fairy dust is in limited supply during the transformation is unacceptable. For those of you yet to view the new release on blu - these changes are noticeable, they made me wince!
I would like to know their response!

The restorations don't bother me. I don't see any problem with them.

I'm glad I have a VCR and that I've kept the VHS releases for most Disney films. I have no intention at all of buying the Cinderella Diamond.

ly'
