I'm a firm believer that if the films comes with something it should stay with it. Otherwise one has an incomplete package.
That's funny, because when I saw that picture I thought, 'wow... those look great without the slipcovers. Much more uniform and clean."

I keep the slips on mine, but seeing a nice collection like that makes me start to rethink that. I don't think they look ugly or cheap at all.
I keep the slips on mine as well, but I agree it does look a lot more uniform and clean. I've thought about doing that with mine, but I'm not sure where to store all my slips (I don't want to throw them out).

I keep mine in a shoebox in my closet, but I only have 17 Blu-rays currently and not all of them came with slipcovers, so that might not work for everyone.

You could always get one of those large plastic tubs and store your slipcovers away in the basement or something. That way, they stay protected and dry in case you ever decide to either look at them or put them back on display with your collection.

The blu-rays for Ratatouille and Wall-e w/ Digital Copy are now listed as OOP according to DVDtalk. On a side note, Mulan 1 & 2 and Robin Hood are also listed.

Hmm, interesting regarding the 2 Pixar titles. I've been waiting to pick-up these 2 until they get released as Blu-ray/DVD combo packs, so hopefully we are heading in the right direction. The fact that Mulan and Robin Hood have been discontinued is exciting too, hopefully that means that an inevitable Blu-ray release is on the horizon.

I'm not familiar with the DVDtalk website, do they have a special feature that allows you to check if a title is OOP or not?

Here's what I have excluding Diamond titles (release list)

Dumbo- Released worldwide except US
Alice in Wonderland- Released Feb 2011
Fox and the Hound- Scheduled Sep 2011
Pocahontas- OOP Sep 2010
Winnie the Pooh- OOP Feb 2011
Mulan- OOP Mar 2011
Robin Hood- OOP Mar 2011

Hunchback of ND- Anniversary 2011
Atlantis- Anniversary 2011

Aladdin- Anniversary 2012
Lilo & Stitch- Anniversary 2012
Rescuers- Anniversary 2012
Rescuers 2- Tie in
Hercules- Anniversary 2012
Treasure Planet- Anniversary 2012

While it's great Robin Hood and Mulan are OOP it just means they seem to be ahead of the still yet to be reissued Hunchback, Rescuers 1/2 and Hercules, which is just very annoying. Both Mulan and RH have anniversaries in 2013 as well, not 2012.

Unfortunately the DVD reissue schedule was:

Alice in Wonderland- 2004
Mulan- 2004
Pocahontas- 2005
Tarzan/TENG- stripped versions 2005
Dumbo- 2006
Fox and the Hound- 2006
Robin Hood- 2006
Winnie the Pooh- 2007

So they are following it to a tee at the moment which again means when the FCUK are HUNCHBACK, HERCULES AND RESCUERS 1/2 COMING?

Even though I hate waiting, 2012 does seem like an exciting year for both Diamond and possible regular releases.

I am really looking forward to The Rescuers/Down Under and Hercules on Blu-ray. I'd love, love, love to see Tarzan sooner than later, also!

Even worse is 3 of those are CAPS films which are already digital and don't need a restoration.

I was pondering something....

Like they did with Mulan in 2008, I wonder if Disney is planning to release anything next year to tie in with the London 2012 Olympics.

Here is a picture with Tangled. I actually prefer to keep the sleeves on my movies. I think they are pretty cool, especially the 3D ones.

Just a heads up - the Enchanted Blu-ray/DVD combo pack is now 13.99 on Amazon! Went down from 19.99 I think. Thank goodness I held out, I was on the verge of getting it just a couple days ago! :)

Typical, stuff always goes on sale after I buy it! Luckily though, I bought this on Borders.com for $14.99 after a 40% off coupon and free site-to-store shipping, so I only missed out on an extra dollar.

I wonder if any of the other recent combo pack releases will go on sale? I am planning on getting Meet the Robinsons, but again, I have a gift card I got through Groupon that will bring the total to $11.99 with shipping. I don't see the price dropping below that any time soon.

Thank you! I ordered the 3D edition too, so that's how it's gonna look on my shelf as well. Since I live in Brazil, it's gonna take about a month for me o receive...

Just ordered Snow White from Amazon, they told me via Customer Service that it's still bring shipped with slip. I decided to tak my chances and risk it, let's hope it actually does! Also bought The Princess and the Frog 3-Disc from an user on Amazon since it had the slip.
