Yeesh. Still an unappealing cover. How fitting.
And boy, I was really on a roll earlier in this thread! Thanks for the compliments. I think someone should spearhead Escapay's idea to make a thread about how great I am. Who wants to form a committee to look at that?

At least the picture of Mary on the cover is much better than the mock-up cover that we saw before. The logo is much nicer as well.

I'm so-so about this new one...
I noticed its a lot brighter than the other one, which I don't really like.

YES Bedknobs and Broomsticks really needs another release with BETTER COVER ART!!! I HATE the cover art on the current DVD version!
As for Mary Poppins I hate the current cover art as well. It doesnt tie together well. Jolly Holiday Mary with Chimney Sweep Bert and Merry go round horses thrown in. It looks like a hodge podge of all the different cover art that has been produced over the last couple of decades.

Simple question: Why do a rerelease of this when there's already a fairly good special edition and there are other catalog titles needing new transfers/ special editions? The only point this would have is if they simply changed the artwork, which they should have done with A Bug's Life and Roger Rabbit this year. Or could there also be a Blu-ray release?
But on to the fact about other Disney titles needing special editions, where's my Hercules or Fantasia Special Editions?

i doubt i will doubt dip on this re-re-release because I have two versions of the film and I am happy with both. It's like I have a 3-Disc set lol. I am sure they won't do anything different to the picture, just say a bunch of fluff like they always do.

I wouldn't really give my hopes up at the rate we're going.

The next time i'm picking up Mary Popppins is only when it's released on blu-ray. I have the gold release and the 2-disc edition, so blu-ray is the only reason for an upgrade for me.

I'd like to see the rest of Hayley Mills' movies get a deluxe edition like they did with "Pollyanna" & "The Parent Trap".

Why couldn't we get this for TLM or BATB or TLK? Those are far better productions that MP (well, at least BATB and TLK are, TLM is kinda iffy to me...)!

The Lion King Platinum Edition actually does have a bonus feature about the musical, it's pretty good too. Could be longer, but it's good for what it is.

The Little Mermaid: Platinum Edition came out before The Little Mermaid musical even premeired. There is, however short and promotional it might be, a Broadway Little Mermaid featurette on Ariel's Beginning.
