Well, that vid wasn't bad, and they managed to make the film look interesting. Jake still looks a bit too buff for the role, but maybe it works in context.
The film certainly has a chance to become as entertaining as Pirates of the Caribbean, so let's hope for the best. I just hope they won't butcher the soundtrack as much as they did in the first PotC.

^^ Nice! Thanks for posting!
I'm not feeling the logo/font though, it's too "Body of Lies" to me. But I have a feeling it's not finalized yet.

I will say that those new clips and the poster are looking better than I expected. After I heard the casting of Jake Gyllenhaal last year I was like, "What the....? There was such potential for a really good action franchise here with integrity, not just Hollywood glamour".
Now that some of those clips are popping up, and those posters are surfacing I'm beginning to think that it may be something good. Of course the big test will be when the trailers start to come out (anyone think we may see a teaser on Jerry Bruckheimer's G-Force?), and the final verdict will be when the movie opens; but as of now, things are looking up for this movie.

As of this posting,
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time has been rated
PG-13 for
Intense Sequences of Violence and Action.
I'm somewhat surprised. Knowing almost nothing about the film besides seeing the poster and reading various summaries on the web, I don't know what to expect with this film. Walt Disney Pictures hasn't had a PG-13 film aside from the Pirates of the Caribbean films that didn't get shoved over to Touchstone Pictures or another sister company. Is it possible this will happen again with Prince of Persia? Or will Disney release something under their WDP banner that *doesn't* have Johnny Depp or pirates in it?
Cheers,
JM

I love the trailer! The movie looks so cool and epic, can't wait to see it. I'm hoping that it will make a lot of cash so that we will se additional movies in the Prince of Persia-franchise...

I watched the trailer when I came back from vacation, and I was underwhelmed. I don't think that this movie was ever something that I knew that I'd like, in terms of its genre or whatever. I know that there's an international trailer out (
http://blueskydisney.blogspot.com/2009/ ... rince.html) that I haven't watched yet, but maybe I'll watch this when it airs on TV. Just doesn't seem like my cup of tea.

I can't wait to see the new "Prince of Persia" movie which will come out in May. I have never played these games, but it was based on the video game of the same name. I hope this film would do well than the previous video game-to-movie adaptation like "Super Mario Bros." which doesn't followed the movie too much, but "Super Mario Bros." was a funny film but it's okay.

Prince of Persia Movie to Rival Disney's Pirates?

I haven't talked with anyone about the film (except on here), but has anyone? Are people excited for this film? I guess the video game is popular, so they already have the fans of the game interested, I guess...?
