The Top Eleven performed tonight and it was the British Invasion, Music of the 60's, and there were some really great performances.

As usual, Melinda Doolittle raised the bar high with her performance, and was closely followed by, of all people, Hayley!

The guys were pretty predictable with Chubby Chris rocking the audience with "She's Not There", and Blake Lewis knocking everyone out with his version of "Time of the Season".

I thought the judges were a little more cruel than usual, but I also think that they were more honest in their judging.

Sanjaya put out a great effort by doing The Kinks' "You Really Got Me", but I still think that he wasn't strong enough to stick around for another week.

Lulu and Peter Noone were the coaches this week, and they will perform tomorrow night on the results show, when we find out who the Top Ten finalists will be for this year.

I'm really busy with school work, but I just had to come on her and talk about Sanjaya. IF that boy doesn't get the boot tomorrow, I'm going to scream. I understand wanting to change up your shtick at the last minute to try to get someone to like you, but adding fake gruff to his soft voice made him sound (I didn't think it was possible) worse! It was just God aweful. I laughed so hard because I thought the crying girl was trying to get away from him. If you watch it again, she does take a step back when he came by her the first time. It was really, really, really bad!

As for Haley, this is what I wanted to see. I knew that girl was holding back on us. I know, she doesn't have the best voice. In fact, out of all the females, she has probably the least spectacular voice, but she is capable of being such an entertaining performer. I'm a big Gina fan, but tonight Haley deffinatley outdid Gina. And I think she may have even outdone Stephanie tonight. That's all I have time to say. Maybe I'll post more tomorrow.

I'm loving this season. Tonight was the best overall so far, which surprised me (didn't think the theme would produce such great vocals). Sanjaya gave his best performance yet -- he's finally gotten some confidence and isn't holding back nearly as much. I think he has a good chance at staying around for the Top 10 and I look forward to hearing what he does then. There was no one I really disliked this week, but I think Haley remains the weakest of the final 11.

Blake was un-freakin'-believeable! He's so awesome! I can't wait until he releases an album!

Melinda Doolittle was great, too. She's got such a sweet, loveable personality! The whole time she was being judged, I just wanted to jump into the television screen and give her a great, big hug! :P

Sanjaya needs to go. He probably won't, but he needs to. His performance was pure crap. I wanted to play in traffic.

The crying girl has problems. Seek help, child.

OMG!! I missed the 1st two performances, and the LOVE OF MY LIFE HALEY (who I voted for last week), was up 1st!! I am so mad. I really wanted to see her perform. I think she is so beautiful!!! Is there any way I can see her performance, because I am kicking myself right now for missing it (coming home from work).

Finally what I was waiting for. Tonight was a lot better than the past weeks. For once this season I'm finally excited about the show. I hope it continues.

Anyway on to Sanjaya... I don't know what to say other than please be gone tommorow. It was horrible, and I agree with goofystitch somehow it was worse this week. Maybe I'm just really growing tired of him and being to critical, who knows...

What was up with the crying girl?

Here is the thing about Sanjaya. I don't like him, as you know I love HAYLEY. I am suprised that Sanjaya mad it to the top 12, let alone top 11. The sad thing is that this guy has a big fan base (the reason he is still on). I guess the kid has the look, but definitly not a singer. At lease against what he is up against. Don't be suprised if Sanjaya makes it to the top 9, or 8 just becuase of his fan base. Now onto Hayley. I hope she goes really far on the show! I am a guy, so I want a women to win. I think the girls are much better than the guys with the exception of 2-3 people. I like Gina also, because she has that rock edge. But can someone please somehow post HAYLEY proformence of 3/20/07 becuase I missed it!!, or tell me what all 3 judges said about her?

If Sanjaya doesn't get voted off tomorrow I'll probably stop watching American Idol this year.

That crying 'tweeny-bopper' is an example of who is voting for Sanjaya. These little pre-teens who have unlimited text-messaging on their cell-phones and make all the votes for the wrong reason.

SANJAYA has got to go!!! He is someone raking their fingernails across the blackboard, and I have had enough of his schtick!

Blake Lewis has definitely raised the bar for the guys!! That was an amazing rendition of The Zombies' "Time of the Season". It should be released today by Blake.

Haley was cute, perky, and sexy, and, as Simon said, 'Naughty', as she performed "Tell Him". While still the weakest of the girls, I think she did enough to earn a spot in next week's show.

I am with Pals on this, if Sanjaya gets voted to stay, I am gone for the rest of the season. If he gets booted, then I am there to root on what could be one of the better seasons of American Idol.

Well according to DialIdol once again Sanjaya should be safe.

Hopefully its wrong though. Last week they had him pretty high in votes, but he ended up in the bottom three.

I wonder how many people actually use Dial Idol. It seems to be an even worse indicator than the Nielson Rating system (Remember when Family Guy was cancelled because it said that hardly anybody was watching... it was wrong! lol). It says that Sanjaya's lowest possible position was 7/11, but I don't think that sounds right. I mean, it also says that Phil Stacy was voted as high as number 2, but I don't think he is going too much farther. I like his voice, but his low range is bizarre and he's got the SNL cave creature look going on. I think the actual results tonight won't look so much like Dialidol's predictions.

Just to through a kink in all of this................I just read that it has been since Season Two that they have eliminated two guys in a row starting in the Top 12. So unless they want to break with tradition we will probably see a girl go home and the no-talent Sanjaya gets into the Top Ten. I think it is wrong, because the girls were all superior to the guys except for Blake, and if any of them get the axe, it is truly a popularity contest and not a talent contest and should be investigated.

Whatever happens, happens tonight. But you should not, NOT WATCH the show becuase stupid Americans are voting on a guy that does not know how to sing, and now seems to be making a joke out of all this Sanjaya!!

Well I'm sad that Stephanie had to go a little before her time (should have been Haley), but at least Sanjaya is safe again! I'm really happy that he wasn't even in the bottom three. However, I'm worried that Chris Richardson was in the bottom two. He's clearly one of the better male singers and I think people probably just assumed he was safe. I predict that he'll do much better next week when everyone (myself included) realizes that they need to vote for him.

Very odd that they gave us a final 2 rather than a final 3. Maybe numbers 9 and 8 were tied.

GAH! What was I thinking when I clicked on this thread? I always forget it airs elsewhere before it airs here.

Aaron I can't believe that you actually like Sanjaya...........this is way beyond me. This guy has the personality of a wall, and is as exciting to watch as paint dry, and just because he came out of his shell last night and screamed a song that everyone says is a Van Halen song, when it is really a Kinks song, doesn't make him likeable. He should have been the one to go, but all those little 'tweens' with their mommy's cell phone got their votes in, and now one of the ladies who should have been in the finals is gone.

If I had to choose between Chris and Stephanie tonight it would have been Chris, because I don't think he will last much longer.

It just boggles my mind that this year's "Idol" has become such a mockery of all that it is with this talent-less Sanjaya Malakar. Give me a break.
