But I wonder why they decided to put the Disneyland 10th Anniversary Program on a WDT again?
Maybe it will be uncensored this time?

I've spoken with Disney Home Video twice, and was told both times there would only be 40,000 of each title!!!
Think about all of the outlets that sell these: Amazon, DisneyStore.com, The Disney Store, Best Buy, WalMart, DeepDiscountDVD, Borders, etc. I think inventories will be slim....
OMG, That is HORRIBLE!!! ONLY 40,000 of each?!
Thanks for the heads up - I will have to be in there at the Best Buy doing battle that day for mine since I chose not to trust Amazon to deliver them undented to me. Ugh! Oh well, I'll just have to do my best to come out on top of the dog pile that day.
Any other stores besides Best Buy that might care these?

I haven't heard anything, but hopefully, I'll have my sets in a few days. I'll be sure to post something then.
That 40,000 number is crazy. I can't see less of these selling than the first wave when DVD was less common. Heck, even the subjects this time around have people more excited than the last couple of waves.
But then, do we ever know how many copies of these actually sell?

Yeah, it is really worrisome to think they'd only do 40,000 ea. (less than the numbers released for the 1st wave if I remember correctly) and since when does Disney confirm such info for a limited issue like that by phone? I wonder if this was just a misinformed person at Disney.... but what is even weirder was how earlier this year old WDTs just appeared all of the sudden at Best Buys across the country - where had all THESE tins came from? Many Best Buys are now over-stocked with titles such as Chron. Donald Vol. 1 and 2 (at least over by where I live). Where had all these tins been hiding - were they in some warehouse at Best Buy and were just discovered or did Disney send them out? Strange.

My word, 40.000 does seem worryingly low, any chance it wasn't a typo and it's really 140,000?
I was hoping mine would've started shipping by now, but no luck

It's possible the Disney Video staff was misinformed, but one of the reasons I called
TWICE was to verify that issue number of 40,000!
If you get a dented tin in your order, you might want to be satisfied with it!
I wonder if a supposed low issue number is due to low sales -- why else can I find Donald Duck V2, Mickey Mouse BW V2 (I think), Rarities, and Spin & Marty at Best Buy?
But then again, I remember 2-3 years back when 1 or 2 WalMarts (but not all stores near me) had a cardboard display with not only Treasures from that particular wave, but of Crockett and Disneyland USA, too.
If 40,000 is correct, I suspect there may be Internet offers left unfulfilled.

DAMN! I hope I get my amazon pre order! I ordered all 4 ib December 7.
40,000 does seem too low. Maybe it's the number of the non-shorts DVDs and the shorts ones are more? Maybe one should ask Leonard Maltin.

YEAH, I know. But I will have to take my chances now since I didn't put in an Amazon pre-order. I'd rather take my chances and try and find them at a Best Buy etc - But with only 40,000 of each - how many could ANY store actually get to carry? They'd have to ship so few to so few stores.... I will try really hard for 2 days to drive around until I find them. I'll order from Amazon only as a last resort - and hold my breath on the dents.

I pre-ordered from Amazon on October 9th so I should be O.K. That is if they fill pre-orders in order. Who knows!

Anyone that pre-ordered should be ok because Amazon has some idea of how many they will be getting - I don't think they will sell more than they have. If they started saying that they didn't have enough in stock, you would have priority due to your early order (I am guessing), so that is some added insurance for you.

The 40,000 number was incorrect, but not by much! See the
front page for an update.

Well, that's pretty sad then Luke. I guess that means that there may not be a wave seven. It just cannot be profitable for Disney at those low numbers to justify continuing the series.

My word that is low! I hope my orders get fulfilled!
It's seems strange that so few copies have been made, when titles like Elfego Baca had 100 and whatever it was thousand, curioser and curioser.

The previous low production total was Walt's
Tomorrowland at 105,000 with a median amount of 125,000. 65,000 is roughly half of the normal production totals.
Don't wait around to purchase or you'll have to find them for $50+ on ebay or amazon.
The low numbers might not indicate there will be no wave 7. Disney could have decreased the totals to increase the demand for these and past waves. Here's hoping they continue the Treasures line.

They better not be killing the treasures line! They haven't finished Donald yet!

I'm eagerly waiting for an UD review of the Pluto & Silly Symphonies set ... especially whether or not they are actually better video/audio-wise then the last wave.

Strewth. That is no good.
DeepDiscountDVD have charged my card, but as yet there is no news that it has been shipped.
It doesn't auger well for future waves, then.

Dang it!
They better have one more wave at least.
We need Chronological Donald V.3 and 4.
They can't just release half a collection.

Wanna bet?
Anyway I feel slightly more relieved having literally just got confirmation from DeepDiscount DVD that
More Silly Symphonies has shipped. Fingers crossed that it (as long as the rest when they ship them) arrive before Christmas.

The same have happened to me, but they have sent our three of them - but of course not the one I was most looking forward to - Your host Walt Disney!
Hope this is only something they fix in the next hours, otherwise.....
