That's what a lot of people are thinking lol... but there were a few times peeple have used a circus theme for sadness. Someone on a Christina board that I frequent pointed out an old 20s/30s vintage film he watched before that was about a circus with a sad twist to it.
Christina probably thought everyone was expecting the video to take place at a cemetery and lots of crying, so she's doing something completely the opposite.

Could someone please tell me when the Hurt video will debut? (I've just realised, I'm now a Special Edition member. Yay!

No one knows yet.
This video has been kept pretty secret. Not much is known. Anyway, she'll also be in another video at the same time for Diddy's new song, Tell Me (which I'm not very excited about

). Screw that one, I'll wait for Hurt. LOL

Let me just start by saying that I absolutely LOVE Christina Aguilera's new CD! The whole CD is very, very good and there are very few songs that I don't like. However, I don't think "Hurt" was the best choice for her 2nd single. I think the song is alright, but I don't think it will make a great single. I think there were a lot of other songs on the CD that would have made better singles. I love "Makes Me Wanna Pray", "On Our Way", and "Save Me From Myself". Hopefully her 3rd single will be a better choice.

TRL showed a preview of this "Hurt" video today and they talked to Christina on the phone. Here's the YouTube link:

I just know this will be her VERY BEST video to date!! It takes place in the 1930s and at a circus. You see Christina landing on the elephant in that clip!
*in love*

Wow! The video looks like it is going to be awesome, very creative and original (but then again, Christina always is) I can't wait to see the video in its entirety. I missed her last tour with JT so I am definately looking forward to seeing this one! Yay!

For me, it looks like it's going to be the other way around

I don't know if I'll be seeing her in concert. I very rarely ever go to concerts!
If she was coming a little closer to where I live, it'd be easier for me to decide. The closest she's coming from here is like 2-1/2 to 3 hours away in Washington DC in April. I'd really like to go. I'm chicken that I'm going to get lost on the way up there.

This video is amazing. I'm still not sure this would have been my first pick for her next single, but the video is really good and very original, I love it!

Saw it yesterday on YouTube. I thought that it was very imaginative, but I wouldn't call it my favourite clip ever by Christina. Dirrty still packs a punch, and Beautiful is still a great clip. Maybe it's just the songs that I like. Oh well.

The "Dirrty" video definately got a lot of scrutiny from critics, but I would have to say it's one of my favorites!

Christina knew she'd get bad critic reviews with Dirrty, as well as bad publicity, so this was partly a "F**k the critics and closed-minded people" video. Notice one of the new songs, Still Dirrty. lol

I totally agree, I must have forgotten to mention that that is one of the main reasons I love that video. XT just rocks my world!!

I got that CD for my birthday last month. I listened to it and it was great. I enjoyed listening to Christina Aguilera, but I have a few CD's like her self-titled album, "My Kind of Christmas", "Just Be Free" and her new one "Back to Basics". I used to have a CD called "Stripped", but I lost it about two or three years ago. I might get the same CD to my collection.

Christina had the honor to sing with legendary singer, Mr. Tony Bennett on Saturday Night Live a few nights ago! They performed "Steppin' Out" together at the tail end of the show. Obviously Tony likes her a lot from what you can see on the show, and with the fact that you will see her again on his televised concert special on November 21st performing with him.
Here's the YouTube video of them performing together. This proves that big band/boogie woogie/jazz suits her voice the best. I hope one day she will abandom pop music all together and just make jazz and blues music. She did say she wanted to make a straight-up jazz album one day.

Here's an impressive list of other respected artists that she has collaborated with in the past:
"Merry Christmas Baby" with B.B. King
"Somos Novios" with Andrea Bocelli
"A Song for You" with Herbie Hancock
Various songs with Etta James
"Every Breath You Take" with Sting
"Live with Me" with The Rolling Stones/Mick Jagger
"Lady Marmalade" with Patti Lebelle
"Like a Virgin" with Madonna

DANG!! The video has been removed from YouTube, and I totally forgot to tune into SNL this weekend!! I'm sure the video will make its way back onto the internet. I read about her appearing on his television special on her website, I'm anxious to tune in for that one! I love Christina Aguilera and it is really cool to see her welcomed by the likes of Tony Bennett.
