And something that wasn't on that video, after the song, Triton asks Flounder if Ariel is in love. And he replies "I didn't know it was love, until the second chorus."
Wait,i"m confused now,so he dosn't know about Eric at all? or he dosn't know that she fell in love with him? he wasn't with her when she rescued Eric? what about Sebastian?.
(by the way,The Little Merboy-you will make a new avater when Ariel's Begining will be released?).
What happened was Ariel rescued Eric and Scuttle was there, but for the whole Part of Your World Reprise, it was just her and Eric. Instead of being interrupted by Max, she hears Grimsby coming (like the movie) because there is no Max. Since there was no statue of Eric or anything, Flounder never gave it to her to put in her grotto, so he never knew about Eric.
Possibly my favorite part of She's in Love is when Flounder says:
"Ariel and someone
Swimmin' in the sea
K-i-s-s-i-n-g"
So yeah, he doesn't know.

Flounder was there when Eric was saved by Ariel, but he doesn't know that Ariel is in love with him, She doesn't say anything to him at all about it. Instead she's just acting weird around him which promts him joining the sisters in "She's In Love". I'm pretty sure Sebastian isn't around when Eric gets rescued.
-edit-
Wow, Thomas J and I were on top of this one! lol

I got everyone's signature, but Eddie Korbich! Which totally frazzles me! Because I got both J.J. and Cody to sign my pre-broadway Poster.
But I did get Francesca Zambello, Doug Wright, and Tatiana Noginova to all sign it, and they left special messages

Tatiana wrote something in russian
I got pics with Sierra, Norm, and Sherie Rene. Also Sierra's understudy, Chelsea Morgan Stock.

How did you get J.J. and Cody!?

XD That's awesome.
I think I'm gonna bring it back with me the next time I go so I can get the rest of them on the same poster. But I might not. I dunno...

It was the very first preview for the show, and both of them came out of the stage door. So I asked both of them for autographs. Alot of people said Eddie didn't come out the stage door in Denver.
If I were you, I totally would!

Oh,thanks for explaining

,now it's clear but... if there's no statue and Sebastian dosn't know about Eric then why Triton destroy her grotto?.
(the fact that she's rescued him alone sounds like Kingdom Hearts II).

I didn't see him opening night, but I did meet him coming out of the stage door when I went again on the third night, so he does come out.
Thomas, you should totally take that poster back next time you go (or just next time you're in NYC, go before the show kicks out so you can be first one there and know you've not missed anyone), I did in Denver and I don't regret it!

Yeah, I think I will.

Thanks for the opinions.. I probably wouldn't have taken it had it not been for all of your input.
Getting to NYC isn't a problem 'cuz I live on Long Island, so it's only an hour away by train. It's getting tickets that's impossible. The second time I went, I got tickets for the Saturday that same week. It's easier to get them close to the performance but you can't get a lot of tickets. I got two and they were orchestra seats. Just a helpful hint.
And I got Eddie's autograph the second time I went (the first time I got autographs).

I'm sure most of you know this, but playbillstore.com is selling the cast recording online, but with a special limited edition picture disc. I took this as a disc with pictures on it, but it's only the regular disc with a picture of Sierra Boggess as Ariel on the disc itself.
It's $25.00 without shipping, and will be released February 26th.

I don't see Pour Unfortunate Soul in the main list of the soundtrack... is it me, of maybe it's forgotten. Cause I think it will be on there...
I hope it will be great!!!

I'm positive it'll be on the cast recording. It was a major song in the movie and it ended Act I in the musical, so it's important.

It'll be there. Amazon has it listed as "Ursula's Incantation", not sure why Playbill missed it off.
May have to order that picture disc, that art is beautiful.

I agree.
I love that picture. Plus, it's a collectible.

It's pretty, but to me certainly not worth the extra $10 plus shipping. I mean, I'll barely look at the disc, given it will get most play on my iPod.

I learned last night that the boy who played Chip in the Beauty and the Beast musical had his head sticking out of a dessert trolley. It helped give me an idea for the Flounder costumes. The boys could wear green skirts made to look like seaweed and a blue and dark blue fin over their heads on a headband and mark themselves up with yellow and blue body paint.

Well, that is good, but it would make him much smaller than Sebastian, and Sebastian's smaller than him in the film. I read that Sebastian runs under a table so just his hat is seen on the top, which the chefs chase in "Les Poissons", so that's similar to your idea. It's also reminiscnt of what a lot of people, me included, think should be done for the mermaids. The long skirts should not be the same color as the tail, but something that looks like water, extra finnage, or even something dark or camouflaging that will disappear against the rest of the set. Something to look seperate from the tail and concentrate the eyes on the tail.
But it's reallty true, most of the creatures don't look enough like what they're supposed to be. I'm open to not looking like a literal fish or seagull, but Ursula looks like a spider or plant or something with spikes and Sebastian has red-gloved hands that don't in any way try to represent claws. And yet, I am determined to like this musical. Perhaps far away, I won't notice how bad things are, or suddenly what they were trying to do will finally all make sense.
It will all come down to if the things that I've seen that I liked will overcome the things that are so unliked by everyone.

Excellent news!
Disney's new Broadway musical The Little Mermaid will debut its original cast album — in full — on Jan. 10 exclusively on PlaybillRadio.com on the same evening the show is holding its opening night.
This "Virtual Opening Night" will also include new backstage interviews with Sierra Boggess, Sherie Renee Scott and all the leading actors. Composer Alan Menken will also be on hand to tell how the fairytale became a film and how the film became Broadway's newest musical.
Neither special equipment nor a password is needed to enjoy this special event, created by web radio station PlaybillRadio.com with Disney Theatricals. Listeners can go to Playbillradio.com starting at 9 PM ET and select either the Windows Media or MP3 streams. Playbill reporters will also be on the red carpet in front of the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre to speak with arriving celebrities.
To celebrate the event, Playbill.com will have a page dedicated to The Little Mermaid, including lyrics to all the songs, plus photos from the red carpet and the production itself.
Late night for me! But finally get to learn all the lyrics to If Only's quartet section!

Heh. My choir teacher is letting me do a write-up on the radio event. Too bad I can't go to the real thing.

The official website has been updated with news about The Little Mermaid being featured on ABC's "Good Morning America" both Thursday and Friday. The show runs from 7am-9am EST, and anything Mermaid related is said to be from the 8am-9am time slot. Since I have school, I'm Tivo-ing the whole thing, just in case they don't actually end up in that time slot.
Thursday:
Interviews with Francesca Zambello, Alan Menken, Doug Wright, Sierra Boggess and Sherie Rene Scott.
Friday:
Special performance "Part of Your World" and "Under the Sea."
Here is the link to the official site's news page about this:
http://disney.go.com/theatre/thelittlem ... s_01092008
My edit is just to clarify that the dates are THURSDAY, JANUARY 10TH AND FRIDAY, JANUARY 11TH.
