It's probably been discussed already, but I was just rewatching the film so I could do my Amazon.com review of it, and I actually watched all three Cinderella films recently and reviewed them. I eventually realized, Cinderella 2 doesn't fit at all with Cinderella 3. It can't have taken place before Cinderella 3, because then Anastasia wouldn't be whining to meat a man of her own in the beginning of part 3. It can't have taken place after part 3, because Anastasia and Cinderella were friends at the end of part 3, and Anastasia was sort of cut off from her family at that point. (I wonder where she ended up living after part 3. Her mother was already going to turn her into a toad!)

So today I watched my Cinderella dvd today and after that, I immediately watched Cinderella III. It was a nice way to watch both films. First the original, then the 2nd sequel, (which I'm beginning to think of as the only sequel). Both films are different but unique in their own special way. The first has a classic look to it, which is very good. The voices also have a classic feel. The story told really shows that it was made in the late 40s, which isn't a bad thing seeing that I really like old movies. "Cinderella III" has a pristine, modern look to it, which has its own good merits. The characters were def. modernized compared to their 1950s counterparts.

The original "Cinderella" had a sweet sounding Cinderella, a highly aristocratic Lady Tremaine, and a strong-willed King. "A Twist in Time" has a contemporary Cinderella, a no-nonsense, scheming Lady Tremaine, and a King with a soft heart. I think the mice were the only characters that really stayed the same. I really liked how in the first film, most of the action takes place in the Chateau, while in this one most of the action takes place in the Palace, and we are given the chance to see how grand the Palace really was. By watching these movies back-to-back, you really get to see how well-developed te Prince is in "Cinderella III" and you see how much Cinderella and her Prince really loved each other & deserved each other, especially in the very beginning and the end.

Oh, and by watching the first film, you see that Anastasia really wasn't that bad. I mean, she was still a brat, but that's all she was. She was spoiled, selfish, and loud, but Drizella had always been the wicked one. In the first film, she calls Cinderella so many names like "stupid" & "kitchen wench." She was always the aggresive one, rude, and uncivil. Se was also rude to other characters, such as the footman by calling him "...stupid little idiot." So, when I watched "Cinderella III" next, I wasn't surprised at why Anastasia had chose to change.

All in all, I had a nice time today watching these two movies back-to-back. I really recommend doing this. "Cinderella III" does not surpass "Cinderella" but the movie has its own good points and I think it's becoming one of my favorite movies.

I think the other minor characters stayed somewhat the same, though the Prince was certainly given a more modern personality.

One tiny tidbit: Some veteran Disney artists I know liked CIII so much they've watched it 10 times. Quite a complement to Frank N. and the Australian artists who made it happen!

Actually, it's been on sale for about a week now. Blokker usually has it about a week before the release, all you need is someone behind the register who doesn't know it's not supposed to be sold yet.

holland ,and the movie comes out over about 1 day ,but i've already got it. The movie was super!!!
