John Tucker must die- A friend bought me heaps of Pirated DVD's back from Bali
After Disney Movies (Live and Animated), teen flicks have to be my favourite, eg. Mean Girls, Date Movie, John Tucker must die, Scary Movie 1, 2, 3 & 4.

I watched Steamboy last night. I was expecting something a bit better to be honest, it was alright, but I probably wont watch it for a good year or so. The thing that annoyed me the most though was the voices, they just seemed to be fake English accents.

When I saw that it was on commercial tv I had to pull out my Special Edition of Footloose and watch it, commercial free and unedited. This movie rocks and when they show it on regular television, they edit the crap out of it and it makes no sense. Kevin Bacon, John Lithgow and Chris Penn, along with the rest of the superb cast, make this movie a joy to watch each and every time.

<b>Pink Flamingos</b>: The most disgusting, perverted, <em><u>bizarre</u></em> "movie" I have ever seen...and that includes <b>The Dark Backward</b>. It's a good thing I love weird stuff.

<b>Silent Running</b>: I loved this! Another one for the "I'm very sad that this is obscure" pile. I enjoyed noticing all the stuff that inspired certain elements of <b>Star Wars</b> and <b>Mystery Science Theater 3000</b>.

I love Netflix.

They had rating for Virgin as 14A in Canada last year but they won't let us in Beerfest this year (18A). Even though I want to see it there is NO way it can be better than Virgin was.

I recently watched:
Spider-Man - Great film, though at certain moments requires suspense-of-disbelief. Some of the plot points are a tad redicilous, and the villian is just a bit over the top for my taste. Nonetheless, this movie is without a doubt a classic to be cherished for generations to come. Some cheesy dialogues, that go hand-in-hand with Raimi productions, also prevent this movie from being completely enjoyable. 7/10

Spider-Man II - Builds on the foundation of it's predecessor [as any good sequel should] and improves upon the foundations. Plot points are believable, dialogue is much more convincing and the villian is portrayed wonderfully. If the first one was a fun action fair, this one provides sophistication and depth to the characters' and the narrative's arcs. Lets hope sequel #2 continues this trend. Not even some moments oozing of cheese (Ahm*train sequence*Ahm) prevent from the entertainment of this movie. 9.5/10

Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace - I stand by previous statements I have made. This is not a bad movie, just different then what you'd expect from a traditional Star Wars film. But this isn't traditional, this is a new take on a story only referenced-to before. It's a youthful start to a very bitter ending. The downsides have been mentioned hundreds of time, but I'll recap those just incase you've lived under a rock these past few years. The excessive use of CG (a problem plaguing the sequels, only in a far worse manner), some stiff dialogues and acting, and some incredibly bad pacing (pod race sequence comes to mind). Even so, I can't help but really enjoy this movie, and I guess the nostalgic feeling I have for this movie doesn't hurt it overall either. 7/10

I saw Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl which was my first choice to watch on my brand new widescreen t.v.! And of course the movie is still amazing! In fact after watching it somewhere between 30-60 times I'm still getting stuff I hadn't gotten before!

Haha, I'd see eye-to-eye with you if it were, say, Home on the Range or Atlantis (which I actually really like). But Chicken Little is flat out bad, and it doesn't matter what way you try to spin it. I'll try and keep the bashing to a minimum though, OK?

I watched Just my Luck, wasn't the worst LL movie and it wasn't the best, but I still liked it. I also watched Poseidon which I thought was very good too.

I watched The Babysitters Club Movie yesterday for the 1st time in over 5 years when I rented the tape and never brought it back. It's not a bad movie, it's just that some parts are lame and they got so much stuff wrong. It's annoying too because I used to be a HUGE Babysitters Club fan, and can definitely spot the differences. It's almost like they never even read the books when they wrote the movie with some things.

War of the Worlds

The recent version, was it 2005?, I can't remember.

I enjoyed it, I didn't like the soppy ending, I wont spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it. Good film though, probably watch it again.

Well I didn't say it was better I just said that it was funnier and sicker.

It was funny (I didn't think it was funny but looking back it was hilarious) before the movie started I spilled soda all over my crotch. It looked like I peed in my pants so I didn't get up for the sake of not being even more embarassed.

I just watched SNL: Best of Cheri Oteri. I love alot of her characters so I thought it was very funny. My favorite is the Sparten Cheerleaders and when she does the lady who does all the prescriptions.

I just caught Secret Window on FX, what an awesome movie. I don't know how good the rewatchablility factor would be, though, so I don't know if I'd get it on DVD.

Basil the Great Mouse Detective- An underated gem that lit up Disney's dark period. 8.5/10

With the grandkids this afternoon we watched Cars twice.

This evening the Mrs. and I watched Take the Lead and The Sentinel.

Pretty good day of movie watching in the Home Theater.
