Also It seems that Belle wasn't a figment of Rumple's imagination after all. It was the Shadow, who will be voiced by of all people Marlyn Manson

Is that who it was? I thought it sounded familiar. I really hope she's not the official Ursula if/when she becomes a major storyline, although her voicework was good. I honestly think they just used her because they're saving Ursula for a later season, methinks, and they used someone whose similar to the idea they have for her until they need to cast someone specifically. So I'm thinking Ursula will definitely be played by a black woman, and to be honest, that's the only way she would work if she's not played by an older lady or a drag queen (and they probably would prefer something different than an elderly lady villain since they already had Cora last season).
Who says Ursula will be a villain at all? And even if she will be, who says she will be anything like the Ursula in TLM? Regina took that part. She is the movie-version of Ursula. If they intended to give the real Ursula the same drag look and behavior, there would have been no point to let Parilla play this role.
I'm not even convinced we will see Ursula again, at all.

I thought Belle was a figment of his imagination sometimes, because she gave him good-sided advice first, but then it was the Shadow's trick when she gave him the evil advice.

Eh, I still don't like OUAT, and somehow I'm still watching it. But, I just had to come and say, I was expecting to hate Ariel. I haven't liked most of their princesses (Aurora, Cinderella, Mulan *sob*). But Ariel was actually pretty good. I don't mind having her stick around at all. And it was cute watching Lana Parilla be Ursula, because I knew she was enjoying it. She mimicked Disney Ursula a little too much, but it's Lana living the dream. I have to forgive her.

Do you not know what the word "speculate" means? Pull it back a bit, please.

I only pointed out, why I think that you are wrong regarding Ursula's role in the series. This is a discussion forum after all.

Personally, most of the time when I speculate, I really don't care if anyone else agrees. Which is why I don't put a "Don't you think so?!" like a desperate fangirl at the end of every post. Nothing in your post means any more than what was in mine, so there is no point in being hostile over something so completely pointless.
Who says Ursula will be a villain at all?
You don't consider her words to Regina threatening...?

I thought I said that in my post, when I said they were likely avoiding her being another old character like Cora?
I'm not even convinced we will see Ursula again, at all.
Then there would have been no point to show her at the end of the episode.

supertalies wrote:I was really worried Regina was also going to be Ursula, especially since Lana Parilla has stated Ursula is her favourite Disney character and wanted to play her, but I was so happy she isn't. I usually like it when Once combines characters, but the downside is that one of the combined characters often doesn't exist in the Once universe, like the Beast/Prince Adam. And I really wanted Ursula to exist in the Once-universe and for her to appear, like Malificent did. And now that's possible!
I thought so too.
I mean, I love Lana but playing Ursula would be too much because as you said, I wanted Ursula to be herself.
...however, when they mentioned that she was a myth then I knew what was going to happen. That way Lana got to play Ursula (really nice) and we also get her character.
The only way I could get around 2 characters being the same is Rumple/Beast because in a certain way Rumple truly is a monster. So that works,
And again...the writers keep on forgetting what happens to the rest of the cast. I mean...didn´t we just meet Tinkerbell? Where did she go?
BTW, people saying she just copied the original. Keep in mind that we still have the real Ursula around; we´ll see how she does it. Also, she even sounded similar still.

She told the group that she wouldn't help go against plan until they had a great exit strategy. Until then she wouldn't help. Now that they have Neal/Baelfire, they are going to alert Tinker Bell that they have indeed an escape plan

I wasn't hostile or at least it wasn't meant that way. I only wanted to share my thoughts regarding Ursula and when I read your post some questions popped up in my head, so it seamed logical to write them down in context of your post. I'm sorry if it sounded rude or aggressive. English isn't my first language, so maybe a little bit of subtext got lost in translation there and of course I know that only because I disagree with you, doesn't mean that I'm any more right than you.

Yes, of course I do. But when Ursula made that threat Regina was the villain of the story, so I wouldn't say it makes Ursula automatically a villain to threat her.

You have a point there, though it is OUAT we are talking about. They did the same thing multiple times before.^^

This was an interesting episode and a great twist regarding the reveal of Michael and John. It seems we also know the identity of the person in the cage was actually Wendy.

The little teddy bear on the rear view mirror of John & Michael's car was a nice touch.

One thing I like about this show a lot is they have a lot of easter eggs around, just as in many Disney Animated movies (some live action ones) and of course Pixar and Marvel.

I still haven't gone the whole way and watched the entire season yet, only the first two episodes. And they were pretty brilliant I have to say. The suspense over waiting for Ariel is pretty much killing me - I'm glad people have enjoyed her appearance on the show. From reading all the little titbits on here ... makes me even more thirsty to watch the entire season up to the current point!
I'm thinking of the 'truth telling' episode as well (I don't know of the name) when they have to set Bae free. That looks like it will be a pretty impressive / interesting episode.
I know Bae is Henry's dad etc, but I am totally rooting for 'Captain Swan'; I think Bae caused so much damage and heartache for Emma that she needs to move on. And Hook isnt the typical Prince Charming etc, but there is massive potential there. Almost like a Spike / Buffy relationship ?

I feel the same way. Although, tbh, I'd prefer
if she didn't go with anybody, but definitely prefer Hook over Baelfire. I also think Hook is hotter and better-acted than Baelfire, so...
You're right that the truth-telling episode was very powerful, especially what Emma has to say. I like that we've been getting to see more of the characters' internal thoughts/feelings this season.

I'm glad you agree !!
I wonder if the Mary Margaret / Emma relationship will ever be 'fixed' or healed, or whatever needs to happen to it ?

WOW This was an amzing episode. I guess Rumple is gone for good, though perhaps he'll figure a way out of that box. I was shocked to learn that Pan was actually Rumple's father.
The next episode is in two weeks and I can't wait to see what happens next.

I was also surprised. I had thought maybe Pan was Rumple's brother; didn't expect him to be his father at all. And why does Pan remember him and still get to stay young anyway? Didn't the Shadow say he had to let go of his memories of being an adult/parent to be a child again?
I'm a little angry that they decided to put the two week break after this episode.

I did enjoy this episode, but did anybody else find
Regina's stealing Henry's heart out of Pana little anticlimactic? I mean, I know
Pan isnt' deador anything, but still... The only thing I don't like about this new development--
the Henry/Pan bodyswitch--is that the boy playing Henry is not a good enough actor...
Enjoyed the flashback to how
Regina got Henry--was weird to see
the Darling brothersthere even then. Tbh, I don't understand why
Rumpelstiltskin would want Regina to have Snow White's granddaughter as her adopted child, except maybe for laughs since she would come to love what she most hated? I'm assuming he didn't know Baelfire was the father, because then he definitely wouldn't want that. You know, I don't know if it's been talked about here, but it was pointed out on another forum I read, and it's a good point that Henry--the heart of the truest believer--is from both the greatest light (Emma--the result of true love) and the deepest darkness (Neal--son of the Dark One). Just thought it was interesting.
Oh, and I like that they've confirmed
Regina is unrepentant about her past crimes. Last season, they couldn't seem to make up her mind if she was going to be forgiven or she would stay a villain to the end.
