This could have been put in the parks topic, but it is pretty dead over there, and it is Cinderella - related ....

Does anyone have the DVD only edition that's been released last week?

Although I kinda know the answer already, does it come with a slipcover?

Sorry K, the slipcover (and disc art) for the DVD version of the Diamond line is no more.

If it helps the blu-ray & DVD packaging have the slipcover.

Did the "Cinderella And Perry Como" Bonus Feature not make it to the Blu-Ray? I thought I read everything from the Platinum Edition was ported over to the Diamond except for an art gallery.

Can someone confirm?

Thanks

Yes, unfortunately the Perry Como and Ilene Woods preview of the movie with them singing songs from the movie was not ported over to the new Blu-ray and DVD. Sorry : (

Just a quick question, I can't see it listed on Amazon yet ... when will the sequel collection be released in their own stand-alone copy? Rather than packaged with the first movie.

Oh, yeah, right! :p

I don't think there's anything about the sequels released individually in the UK and I doubt that they will be.

Have you considered buying the trilogy and selling the extra movie? It's pretty cheap right now (16,99 on amazon)

Oh drats I had hoped that they would be ! All of the other releases have then come out as stand alone releases, so thought Cinderella couldnt be that far behind ... :( Clearly not !

Just wish I had got the box set now, like you suggested ... but I wanted Cinderella by herself rather than packed up as I thought it was a 'special' release .... pffft how wrong was I ?!

If anyone sees/hears of them being released in their double pack, please let us all all know on here :)

I bet Cindy hovers by keeping Soviet-era booster rockets under her dress.

Good find Toky!

I suppose your screenshots are coming from the menu of the disc, so don't mind that left part in the picture which is from the menu itself, but for the rest these are (practically) the same shots from my 1997 VHS:

Image

The scene is rather dark and these shots are blown up by 300%, so they're not as sharp, but... on the VHS one can clearly see that the "floating line beneath their feet on the Blu-ray" should have a different color than the background. It should have the same color as the top of some of the stairs, lit by the lights from the palace.

So yet another blunder on the Blu-ray!...

Its a pic made with phone, but from the movie itself :( I put it on pause to take it...sadly

Aren't we being a little too nitpicking here? I agree about some of the points raised here (her hair being a completely different color since the PE) but zooming in 300% into the frame to see if an inch of floor is the same color as the steps, come on...

Yea I'm not sure the new restoration did that. I think the new restoration's sharpness reveals a genuine mistake in the original animation. This time.

Toky's pictures weren't actually zoomed in, just mine to get them roughly the same size as his, because mine came from a VHS.

And if it's a genuine mistake in the original this time, then it's fine of course. But seeing how obvious the mistake is, I highly doubt it would not have been noticed on the big screen before, so...
