So, I could've called all these past months to get the free blu-ray? :(

Good to know that if all else fails, a firm phone call should get the job done. Given I'm a pretty consistent customer, I'd feel pretty gypped if I didn't get the birthday email.

I also just redeemed most of my remaining points for "Your Host, Walt Disney". That seems to be a good buy from what I'm gathering here, yes?

Good news that a Walt Disney Treasure is now on Disney Movie Rewards. Do we think there'll be more on there?

What's surprising is that WDT: Your Host Walt Disney is just 800 points wheras Frank and Ollie is 1075 points.

I already have WDT: Your Host Walt Disney, but one of my discs may have been damaged. I have to check. If it is, I may order this as a replacement. I had a heck of a time getting one of the discs out of the case one day and a crack may have formed in the middle coming from the hole.
I think this started last year.
Really, do you remember what month exactly?
Also, do you know the email address I need to contact to get in touch with them in case I don't get the birthday message?

:)

Since when has this been happening? (I have never gotten any email about this and my birthday is on FEB 20th)

How do they know my birthday? I don't remember whether I entered my birthday when I signed up for DMR.

In case they won't send the email what should I do? :?
You probably don't remember now but you should have entered your birthday when you originally registered. There's no place to edit it in your profile after the fact (nor should there be, really).

The email, if it comes at all, arrives sometime during your actual birthday. I got mine but from what I've read it's very hit and miss. Lately it sounds like most members have been receiving it, though -- even people who happened to register "just before" their b-day (snicker :P).

And FYI you do have to enter your credit card info on DMR for a $2.95 S&H charge, so it's not "free" per se but of course most people don't mind paying this token amount.

Really, a Treasure? Excellent. I was saving up for the P&TF poster and the Sorcerer Mickey sculpture, but since these are out of print, I now have something to use some of my 1280 points on.

I wonder if the phone call would still work half a year later?

I got my "Enchanted" Birthday Blu-Ray in the mail, today! It also had a code for DMR points, worth 125 points, as usual in Blu-Ray releases. However, when I entered the code, it said it was for "The Game Plan". That was odd, but, oh well. I still got more points!

Maybe if you buy The Game Plan it'll have a code for Enchanted.

Or maybe if you buy "The Game Plan", the cashier will laugh in your face for buying such a terrible movie.

I've never seen that movie, but, from the sounds of it, I wouldn't, anyway.

Unless they don't want to put their credit card number online. :P

I personally don't want Mickey Mouse getting ahold of my credit card number and running around Toontown running up a false charge at the cream pie shop. DMR can take their free Blu-ray and shove it.

Give me your code then

And have you and Mickey use my codes, steal Iceflash's credit card, then get drunk and hook up in a nightclub where that sexy mouse dancer from "The Great Mouse Detective" is belting out semi-burlesque 80s pop? Fat chance, buster.

Do you think if I call for a free Blu-Ray email that I never got, it'd work? I hope so!
But wait, my birthday was back in September.

Yay for a WDT being up on DMR! And for so cheap, too!
I hope they put some more interesting WDTs on there as well. :)

I'd still say that excludes "most people", unless fewer people buy stuff online or over the phone than I think. ;) On various threads I've seen a lot more people complain about not getting the email than having to pony up $2.95 US (hey, I had to pay an exchange rate conversion too, lol).

It's not like you redeem your DMR points for it; anyone can sign up and get the email instantly, so of course they're going to require you to at least cover the shipping fee. As long as they never demand that for the actual DMR prizes!

I got my UP pin today, but I'm having trouble keeping it on. I take the little thing out the back and tack it on under my shirt. :?
