Oh no. Now my Lion King DVD will remain naked.
I wasn't being sarcastic.

Find a LATT2 in store with a slipcover, go out to your car and toss the slipcover in there, then walk back into the store and return the dvd.BATBFan1 wrote:I called to request a slipcover for Lady And The Tramp II Scamp's Adventure and they told me they could not give it to me! I know people that already gotten OLD slipcovers from Disney with no problem but I don't know why i am getting a problem! The lady is looking into it and she is going to get back to me in an hour or so!
So note that they do not send them out anymore just replace damaged ones!![]()

I AM VERY MAD AT THIS!
I hope they chock on them!
I tried calling again but the needed my *information* and they said this is there policy and they can't do nothing about it! I even talked to a supervisor! They started a transaction and then stopped! why start something and say you can't give it to me!AwallaceUNC wrote:Try calling again. You may have just gotten an uninformed and/or unwilling cast member.

Sounds like they haven't changed the policy and that they've instead wised up to people over-using or abusing the system. How many times have you gotten slipcovers from them in the past?BATBFan1 wrote:I tried calling again but the needed my *information* and they said this is there policy and they can't do nothing about it! I don't think it's stealing. The stores throw the slipcovers away after awhile and i've saw that with my own eyes. I saw a store manager from Target take them off and put then in a cart and bring them to the back. I don't think they are sending them back to Disney, they are throwing them in the trash can!MadonnasManOne wrote:Am I right in assuming you are wanting a slipcover for the original release of Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure? If I recall, you posted that you were not going to buy the new edition.
If so, then you shouldn't resort to stealing one. That's just not right.
If I'm wrong, and you purchased the new edition, and it didn't come with a slipcover, then I apologize.

It's not. It was the only thing I could think of when they stopped after taking your information.BATBFan1 wrote:Once
It was A Bugs Life Slipcover.
how is that abusing the system?
Before I say what I have to say, I am on your side dvdjunkie when it comes to slipcovers. But you have to admit, a Beauty and the Beast or any Disney DVD for that matter would sell for much more than one without a cover. My cousin wouldn't bid on a BATB on ebay unless it had one.dvdjunkie wrote:Slipcovers offer no use to me, I agree with those that say they just take up room and rather useless. As far as collecting goes, they don't make your title worth any more money if you have the slip cover or not. I don't know what the big deal is.
It's long been a curious guessing game to see what gets one and what doesn't. Most frequently these days, new animated DTVs, significantly promoted re-releases of movies, and Studio Ghibli fare gets them, while everything else (with some exceptions) does not. Almost seems like Disney uses the slipcover as a tactic to help out DVDs that might need a bit of a push.kbehm29 wrote:I've also noticed that a slipcover is not 'standard' anymore - there are many DVD's being released without one, including Eight Below.
Still... How can you be offended by this... You cant demand to get a slipcover when you havent even bought the new version... And it IS stealing!! It wouldnt be if you had purchased the new version, and had not gotten a slipcover for it...BATBFan1 wrote:I don't think it's stealing.
