Being hispanic is a cultural term, biology doesn't mean anything, same for Puertorican that is a nationality
Yeah, but she is Latina (and Julia Michaels is also Latina) and she doesn't stop being part Latina just because her father wasn't around when she was growing up.

If you are not raised hispanic you are not hispanic, you are raised in the culture or being born in a hispanic country (a Chinese immigrant couple daughter born in Ecuador is equally hispanic-latino for example)
Americans treat being hispanic-latino as something genetic when it's just like being vietnamese or Greek, cultures based in geographical position

I never denied being Hispanic is "culture"? I just pointed out that her race being Latina doesn't change regardless of how, where, or by whom she's raised.
I'm not sure what it has to do with the movie either though. Wish isn't like Coco, where they attempted to trademark and sell a holiday. This story isn't one that's based in culture, and the most I've heard Disney parade in interviews for PR is the fact that Asha is AfroLatina and that her voice actress is likewise, and that the composer is also Latina. I've never heard them talk about Hispanic this or culture that. The movie's plot is more like Wicked and a celebration of Disney history than some kind of culturally-based film.

Unfortunately nothing new regarding when the second trailer will drop, but they said the animation looks

, the music by Julia Michaels is strong, the story (while paying honor to the past of Disney) is wholly unique, and
they think that people are underestimating how big it will be at the box office.
I think so, too. I still think the film is going to be a big hit, personally.

Maybe not as big as Frozen or Zootopia--although who knows! I'd certainly love if it was--but I see it ending up around the same level as Moana / Tangled.

Disney never called her afrolatina, random blogs and twitter users said so, but never Disney.
The movie is set in the Iberian Peninsula (well an island close) during the Al Andalus period of time, it's a real time in history and not something created just for the movie

These positive notices from people watching only 20 minutes of the movie are really nice to read.

I'd forgotten that site changed its name, all those x.com links look so strange.

If they don't release the trailer today they will not do until Monday at least, weekends trailers never get released because people in blogs and press are not working so they get less traction (unless it's comic con)

I mean Monday would make sense since it is going to be World Princess Week next week and Monday is the best time for Disney to drop it so they can get it out before Star Wars: Ahsoka premieres on Disney+ on Wednesday. But, we’ll just have to wait and see.

Nothing again today, our next hope is Monday
I don't get why they released the teaser in April (uncommon for a non-sequel) for them to release the full trailer around September like they do with their other movies.
I expected:
Teaser: end of April
Trailer 1: June-July
Trailer 2: September
A lot of TV spots between October and November

Maybe they were trying to do what Universal did with Super Mario after seeing how successful it was when launching its active marketing campaign more than half a year prior to release and that’s why they did that.
Hopefully, the 2nd trailer drops Monday so it can coincide with World Princess Week.
If it does, that means they can drop a 3rd trailer on October 16th to mark the day of Disney 100 & celebrate more by launching ticket presales that day, too, to get a flux of tickets sold.

Yeah, it's funny, I think you predicted the World Princess Week as the day a while back.

Don't think I will read the footage reactions, but I'm happy at least to be feeling the positive vibes they're earning.
Anyways, I'm open to being surprised, but I don't think we'll get another proper trailer until probably two-ish months before the release date.

That's a good sign showing that the new trailer will come sooner rather than later. Not to mention, that apparently King Magnifico is going to be a love letter of sorts to Disney Villains from Walt's day to the 90's Renaissance. Honestly, that does make me hopeful that this villain will pull out all the stops when it comes to his character, story and his villain song.
