Well, Ariana was on the "We <3 Disney" album, and P!nk did a song for one of the LA Alice movies. Yes! for Kelly, though. And I <3 Demi and am very grateful that she did "Let It Go" (don't hate me!). (I know that "We <3 Disney" & LA Alice DAC...)

I like a few Demi Lovato songs... "Sorry Not Sorry," "Confident," "Cool For the Summer," and "Skyscraper." (Although I tend to listen to covers of "Skyscraper" instead of her version; my favorite is actually a live performance by a random Idol contestant who got eliminated very early and I don't think ever went on to do anything, Juliana Chahayed. ). I love the lyrics to "Stone Cold," but her voice is harder for me on ballads.

Oh, yeah, "Just Like Fire," I totally forgot about that one even thought I bought it. It's much better than "Bridge of Light" anyway. Kelly has "Broken & Beautiful" from that Trolls movie (and a couple of in-film songs, too, I think).

Disney's Divinity wrote:I hope they have a good end credits song for this at least? I'd like if Ariana would do an end credits song for one of their original films.

Ariana Grande already did the end credit song for "Beauty and the Beast".

It's not an original film, it's a remake.

It's probably the one she wears in this shot:

Broken & Beautiful is actually from the
Uglydolls movie.

Sweet! I wonder if he's going to have a standout track along the lines of "The Egg Travels" and "The Crystal Chamber".

To think we could be seeing it now if not for the pandemic. I wonder, though, if the extra time they've had to finish it would result in a better movie than the one we would've gotten if it hadn't been delayed.

Also, Kelly Marie Tran talks about Raya in another interview:
I have to ask about Raya and the Last Dragon before I go, because everyone I've talked to you at Disney Animation just says that you came in and knocked it out of the park and everybody loves working with you, so just so you have a good reputation over there.

TRAN: Oh my gosh. Wait, that's so nice. That means so much.

What has that been like for you? You're a Disney princess now.

TRAN: Yeah. I am so thrilled and freaked out. Obviously, it's such a privilege to work with these incredible artists who truly... I grew up watching Disney films, as pretty much, I don't want to say everyone, but most people grew up on Disney films and just being such a fan of that world. And then to be able to come in and work with all of these incredible people who... Sometimes I'll have a conversation with someone and be like, "Cool, cool." I'll go on IMDB and Google and them and be like, "Whoa, they worked on The Lion King," and all these other things and it just freaks me out. It is just so cool.

Yeah, I always say this, and I know it sounds so cheesy because it probably is, but I just think it's true, everything that I've been able to do in my career this far very much feels like an impossible miracle. I am not someone who had connections in this industry. I'm not someone who knew how to do that. I really feel like I was like the blind leading the blind, trying to figure out how to audition and this world. Everyone who has dreams as a kid watching these movies and wanting to be a part of it, if there's anything that can prove that it's possible to do anything, it’s that somehow I am where I am continuing to do the things that I'm doing. Yeah, it means a lot to me that you, yeah, that you said that about the people that you know at Disney because I just love everyone there so much. I'm just grateful.

Thanks for posting those pictures, D82! I love the pictures of the dolls! But it`s just a pity that those pictures are unclear! Perhaps the other female is the secret warrior which fans had to wait to discover?

Anyway, I certainly like the book cover with the Spanish title. It`s beautifully painted.

With her getting a doll, I think it's unlikely she's a villain now. Most likely she'll be more of a frenemy for Raya, a competitor who pushes Raya to be stronger.

Yeah, you'd think that with the quality of the smartphones people have today they'd get better pictures. Plus, I wish they had taken a photo of the artwork on the back of the box. Anyway, I'm grateful they shared those pictures even if they're not in the best quality.
DisneyFan09 wrote:Perhaps the other female is the secret warrior which fans had to wait to discover?
I think so.

I think you're right. The fact that this cover (second image from the slideshow) already showed her as an antagonistic character made me think that as well. If she was a twist villain, they wouldn't have revealed that on a cover and she doesn't look like a classic one either. Her doll has a grumpy expression, but her design and the fact that she's as old as Raya make me think she'll be just a rival, as you said. She'll probably start as an adversary at first, but I think she'll change and Raya and her will end up as friends.

Has it been confirmed it's the girl from that clan?

Not confirmed. But I assume that if she's going to get merchandise then I think Funko would also make a pop of her.

Also since Druun was also planned, I'm guessing it is still in the film:

By the way where did it say it's going to have a female villain? I can't find anything about the villain being specifically female.

OK. Yes, it seems she's one of the main characters featured in merchandise (she's in that palace set as well), so I think you're most likely right she's Namari.

I thought it had been revealed the film would have a female villain, but I was mistaken. Sotiris told me about it here.

Now it's more clear. So I'm going to guess that Skyler Shuler was referring to the Druun, and Namari (or whatever her name is, I'm just going to use Namari until it's said otherwise) is just a rival or something similar. The synopsis did say something about teamwork so maybe they meant between Raya and Namari rather than Raya and Sisu. Also I remember that it was mentioned that there will be three major female characters so I'm guessing they were talking about Namari as well as Raya and Sisu.

I also want to say that I don't know how I feel about having so many major characters.

Yes, when they said there would be a third female protagonist I guess they were referring to her. And you're right, maybe the teamwork part was between Raya and her. Or between Raya and the misfits. We'll see. By the way, I've found the original source of the second picture of the doll set I posted and the person who took the photo and apparently owns these dolls says in the comments that she's Namari, so that pretty much confirms it's indeed her name. That person posted more photos of the dolls, including another look at Namari. She looks very similar here to the child version of the character we saw in the teaser trailer, right?

I'm a bit worried about that too. I hope Raya and Sisu have enough screen time and their personalities and arcs are well developed in spite of that.
