How does the marketing work now...Happy Meals, cereal boxes, sweepstakes, things like that? If Happy Meal toys are out now, but the movie doesn't come out for months...will things like that hurt the box office?

Oh, wow, so a lot of movies have been postponed. I wonder if most theaters around the country might close the next month, the same as Broadway and the NBA.

I can't find it, but in one of the threads, someone asked if the new edition of The Art of Mulan book has the live-action film in it. My early birthday present just came in the mail, and flipping through it, none of the images are of the live-action film.

Niki Caro wrote:Today should have been an amazing moment as we released the live action Mulan around the world. So until that day comes, I’ve resolved to share my journey as the director of this iconic story. I hope you enjoy my diary-in-reverse as I look back at at the glorious, and sometimes daunting experience of making the movie. Today I give you the first challenge I set myself. How to tell the story of a village girl who becomes a male soldier, then ultimately a warrior and a legend... This was a photo shoot I did with a single actress. It’s the same young woman in each frame. These were the first images the studio saw of my vision of Mulan. I’ll keep posting these memories until I can share the whole movie with you all.

See what exactly? The events from the storybook? They're not featured in the film.

I watched the second 'Disney Insider' episode this morning including but not limited to the Mulan segment.
It keeps me eagerly waiting for the movie to be released :) even if chances are we won't get to watch it before some time.
I still have this sensation that that one remake will be different the others. As if they try to do something with it
We'll see what it comes out to be.

Plus, it was really nice to get to see Andreas Deja again!! That, I really like :D

It’s late enough that we should be past the worst of the pandemic, but it’s early enough that people may still be reticent about going into potentially unsanitary public spaces. I think the movie is now doomed to gross less than it would have before the pandemic.
