The last Disney movie I watched was Pirates of the Carribean. It is the best movie. I saw it eight times in the theater and bought it the first day it was on DVD.

Atlantis: The Lost Empire

And what can I say?? WOW!!! I don't know why some thought this was boring. In my opinion, this was brilliant! Truely unique to the Disney library. I hope once every few years a feature of this type will be released. I loved it. I'm definitely buying the Collector Edition!

Right now I'm watching Pirates of the Carribean on Starz. But I'm either going to watch Darby O Gill and the Little People or one of the two Davy Crockett films.

At the cinema this evening I saw the advance screening of Walt Disney's "The Pacifier" with Vin Diesel. Watch out America, I think Vinny has found his place in family comedy. This movie is non-stop laughter and should do well at the box office when it is released in two weeks.

Today I had a Mulan double bill. Mulan is as good as ever and I finally saw my copy of Mulan II I got on the first day of release. Anyways Mulan II was enjoyable but it's not nearly as good as the original.

Mulan. Also one of my favorite 10 disney movies. Really well done. Watched the new deluxe edition for the first time - a significant improvement in transfer which gives me a lot of hope for Pocohontas after that initial terrible transfer.

Beauty and the Beast. TWICE! It gets better with each viewing (if only the bl**dy rented disk would stop jumping in the most important scenes! )...

Home on the Range - well at the half way mark I thought the last 2D movie from Disney may well have been the worst. Boring story, bad animation. The psychadelic animation during the yodelling was no where near as good as Dumbo was 60 years ago. Badly drawn angular characters. I thought Roseanne Barr was totally annoying but Randy Quaid, Judi Dench, Meg Tilly and some others were great.

I have to say, I really enjoyed the last half though. The pacing was much more Looney Tunes than Disney and I really enjoyed it. I noticed during the deleted scene about the coyotes he referred to it as being Fast and Furious - a take on the title of the first Coyote/Road Runner cartoon. I was thinking the reason they may have deleted it was that it was too Looney Tunes. Almost a direct rip off in fact. I thought some of the CGI effects in the latter half were really good with the fast pacing too.

Songs were decent - including a really nice song by Bonnie Raitt.

Overall, not one of Disney's best but certainly better than the likes of the Black Cauldron and Robin Hood and I may watch the second half again.

Dining Out with Timon & Pumbaa

I got The Return of Jafar for my birthday recently, and I'm waiting for an order I made for The King of Thieves (which should arrive Monday)

When that happens, I intend to have an Aladdin marathon on Monday night).

The last one I saw was... I think Mulan 2, and I'm dying to see Sleeping Beauty again, so I'll probably watch it today. :)

Mickey's House of Mouse: Villains, I was pleasently surprised by this DVD. It was really great and now I really want to see more House of Mouse. Maybe it's because I went in with low expectations.

My little nephew has that DVD, maybe I'll borrow it from him. He also has a Christmas one and I wanna see it because it supposed to have many characters in it, and I'd like to see characters from different movies interact.
