I didn't notice this untill now: Where is Maleficent's wings? They were an important plot point in the leaked script.

The trailer was good, but WHAT DID THEY DO TO THE THREE FAIRIES?!

It seems that the idea is that they want to give tribute to the fairies of olden times when they were small but ones who don't care for people. If you remember the leaked script, the fairies are superficial, and quite nasty, like what I mentioned before.

If you mean how the visual effects look, yeah, they're a tad...off, but special effects typically don't look finalised in the trailer. The movie opens in four months, they're probably still working to make them look good and not-so-CGish.

Umm... It's been awhile since I read the leaked script, but am I the only one worried that the leaked script might be the final one? Because some scenes kind of look like they match them. Even to the point where Maleficent referred to Aurora as 'beastie'.

Since revisions have happened by Robert Stromberg, John Lee Hancock AND Paul Dini; some parts of the leaked script when it comes to dialogue will, with no doubt, remain, but some things have changed since the January 2012 draft.

For example, do you all remember Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey? That has a script by Caroline Thompson and Linda Woolverton but it's been known that Jonathan Roberts (Linda's co-writer on the animation screenplay of The Lion King), has done revisions to the script but remained uncredited for his work.

It's clear though there have been some revisions as Musical Master said regarding the three fairies in the trailer compared to that first draft of that horrible abomination of a script Also in the script when the Stefan was interviewing men to marry Aurora, Phillip does show up however Stefan rejects him and is never seen again in the script and that Phillip isn't the one to kiss her but Maleficent. However in this trailer it does seem that Phillip will have a bigger role and even kiss her as seen in the trailer.

The biggest part I'm happy about is that the fairies don't seem to be total a holes when giving Aurora her gifts and that was one of my many biggest problems with the script to begin with.

Also it seems that if you look closely, the three fairies are at the cradle when Maleficent arrives in that one shot.

YES. These are all fantastic changes. All of them keep it more in line with the original rather than the leaked script. Sure the plot still has a lot of stuff that differs (obviously) but we've clearly been reprieved of a couple things from the script.

Personally, I'm willing to celebrate any victory and the fact that this film was made at all rather than bite the hand that feeds me. This is a project I NEVER thought Disney would dream of making and yet, here it is! And I, personally, am extremely excited!

The first half of that had me intrigued, but the second half was awful

It's definitely the Alice in Wonderland/Oz the Great and Powerful of the year, so it'll be fun to watch once, but nothing groundbreaking or "good."

I love it! though the sneak peek's visuals are pretty low-quality, I'm sure the final thing will be visually stunning like Oz, the Great and Powerful and Alice in Wonderland . They did an awesome job with Angelina Jolie's makeup; the resemblance to the original Maleficent is quite remarkable.

For me it's not as much the resemblance that shocks me more than Angelina Jolie's voice is actually believable as Maleficent. They can probably dress up any actress to look like her with a bunch of money to do it, but to sound like her, that's the biggest shock I have of Jolie's performance is her uncanny voice to the original Maleficent

She didn't sound as much like Elanor Audley's Maleficent as I hoped, but yes, she is very, very good nontheless.

This preview was very, very cool made me, very, very excited! Even though I read disneyboy's summary of the horrid script, I am now intrigued to see all that the script will be.

I like the new design for Maleficent's gown at the christening. And I surprsingly love the three fairies' new designs! I think having upside down flowers on their heads to be like the cone hats they had in the original film was a stroke of genius!

The only thing I am dissapointed in (aside from Aurora's hair not looking enough like the original animated version's), is the three fairies don't seem to have their wands! Maleficent can't have a big staff wand and the fairies don't get any wands at all! That makes no sense!

But yes lord-of-sith, this is like a dream come true for us Sleeping Beauty and Maleficent fans!

One thing I don't understand about the movie (so far from previews) are three things:

1) Maleficent didn't show any (almost) cleavage in Sleeping Beauty.

2) In Sleeping Beauty, wasn't Maleficent throwing a bitch fit because she (read that as "her minions") couldn't find Aurora?

3) I still think her skin should be pale green/shallow lime.

I know that they're not supposed to literally be 100% accurate to the original (because that would be boring), but come on.

I remember when I said the same thing before the Catwoman movie came out. My favorite Batman villain being given her own movie where she is the anti-hero. It had to be at least somewhat good, I thought …well, after how that turned out, forgive me for being skeptical of this similar approach with Maleficent.

Now I'm not making assumptions it will be the same level of mess that was Catwoman, but I just feel the need, from experience, to hold off judgment one way or the other until seeing more than second long flashes of special effects and Angelina looking fierce.

I think that was a really brilliant and well done trailer! Even coming off the back of the teaser (which I thought was superb) this is still extremely intriguing. I mean that in a sense of sometimes the whole film is vomited out into the theatrical trailer; not edited well, and you have basically seen the entire movie in one go. No art to it.

This one on the other hand was brilliant, and I loved the fact it paid homage to Sleeping Beauty ! Wasn't expecting that at all. Rather than the Oz / Alice effects, I'll be viewing this for Angelina; never thought she could capture Eleanor Audley's voice so well … but she really has. And she looks superb too!

Well people who want it to stay faithful to the original should be happy about that.

Well I thought Prince Phillip actually has a lot of personality for being a Disney Prince ?

And if Princess Aurora isn't as vibrant as the other Princesses (which, as you say Lady Cluck, that's how she is originally written - through no fault of the character….she was shaping up to be extremely interesting until she stopped speaking then fell asleep for the rest of the film) the actress playing her should at least be … well … beautiful ? I mean, she's pretty and everything, but there is nothing of the original Aurora in her appearance or even costumes. Aurora was based on Audrey Hepburn if I'm not mistaken, so would have been nice to have that filter through to the film version. And if they insist on doing a trans-atlantic British accent, would have been nice to have a British actress for the role. I still stand by my choice of Keira Knightley for the part.

I think it's hard to tell whether a character is boring or not from a short number of clips. Trailers don't really lend themselves to character development (there's a reason trailers for Woody Allen movies are normally weak).
