Nothing again today, our next hope is Monday

I don't get why they released the teaser in April (uncommon for a non-sequel) for them to release the full trailer around September like they do with their other movies.

I expected:

Teaser: end of April
Trailer 1: June-July
Trailer 2: September
A lot of TV spots between October and November

Maybe they were trying to do what Universal did with Super Mario after seeing how successful it was when launching its active marketing campaign more than half a year prior to release and that’s why they did that.

Hopefully, the 2nd trailer drops Monday so it can coincide with World Princess Week.

If it does, that means they can drop a 3rd trailer on October 16th to mark the day of Disney 100 & celebrate more by launching ticket presales that day, too, to get a flux of tickets sold.

D23ExpoVisitor25 wrote: Thu Aug 17, 2023 6:13 am I mean Monday would make sense since it is going to be World Princess Week next week and Monday is the best time for Disney to drop it so they can get it out before Star Wars: Ahsoka premieres on Disney+ on Wednesday. But, we’ll just have to wait and see.
Yeah, it's funny, I think you predicted the World Princess Week as the day a while back.

Thanks for posting all those articles and footage reactions, D23ExpoVisitor25! I haven't read them yet, but I will.

Here are some more book covers. Not all of them are new, but I don't think they had been posted yet.

Don't think I will read the footage reactions, but I'm happy at least to be feeling the positive vibes they're earning.

Anyways, I'm open to being surprised, but I don't think we'll get another proper trailer until probably two-ish months before the release date.

That's a good sign showing that the new trailer will come sooner rather than later. Not to mention, that apparently King Magnifico is going to be a love letter of sorts to Disney Villains from Walt's day to the 90's Renaissance. Honestly, that does make me hopeful that this villain will pull out all the stops when it comes to his character, story and his villain song.

The first backpack is adorable. I hope that's an early sign they're going to merch the death out of Star, that's a better choice than Valentino.

‘Wish’ Producer Peter Del Vecho On The Film’s Test Screening Response (Interview): https://onetakenews.com/2023/08/18/wish ... creenings/.

In this interview, Del Vecho says test screening audiences have been "so enthusiastic about WISH".

Considering I’ve know gotten a fifth source, before this interview, with Daniel Richtman (Daniel RPK) to corroborate (https://x.com/danielrpk/status/1691877101022875891?s=46) the previous four sources’ (Grace Randolph, Big Screen Leaks, Viewer Anon, and Skyler Shuler) claims they’ve heard of Wish being really good/great/real solid, this film might be a breakout and have audiences completely underestimate how big it will be at the box office.

Why do I get the nagging feeling everyone here is gonna dunk on this movie the moment the official trailer drops. I don't even know what you guys want anymore. Disney is woke this and that, it's like it was conveniently never this way in the "glory days". I'm rooting for this flick, but I'm even wondering why some of you guys are still disney fans based on how you talk.

It's because this thread is full of people who are either jaded or disillusioned with what Disney has become and feel the only way to make them great again is to make them fail when really making them fail will only make things worse for them and won't get them what they want with the attitude and demeanor they have. And they're only Disney fans in name only, they are not really real fans because they're only fans of past Disney off of some illusion that is not reality.

Wow I didn’t know that there are certains rules to be a Disney fan. Maybe it appears in Disney website and I didn’t read it 🙄
People are tired of Disney because they do things without a soul and without magic. They have transformed the whole company and now it only exists to sell merchandise.
I think that this movie will bring Disney magic back and I don’t want to be dissapointed with another generic movie about a character who has to start a journey in orden to save their people like the 4 fílmela that they have madre before

Gosh I can't wait to see the full trailer, as you'll may know I'm mainly hyped because she's spaniard and I'm so happy Disney is finally giving us a movie (since Gigantic was cancelled many years ago)

I hope the Teens are more interesting than what they look in the marketing, because they look like pointless characters (a least the guys, the women in the teens look more interesting

In the same sense. Nobody is forcing anybody to stick around. If people really have a problem with disney they can truly find something else. I know that might sound dismissive, but it's clear that certain decisions being made are out of your control, we're hopefully all adults here, so I'm sure you're familiar with the concept of moving on.

Not everyone's going to criticize this movie. The thing is every movie comes with its own corner of critics, they usually change from film to film because not everyone likes the same things. The best thing to do about criticism is try to ignore it and simply post your own positive reactions.

Personally, I like most of what I've seen with this one and I like most of the people involved. So far Valentino and Julia Michaels are the asterisks for me. I think Michaels is a good songwriter, just not sure if that strength involves theatrical music or not. And Valentino may have minimal role in the film (hopefully). Whereas with Strange World a lot of the designs were questionable. Encanto had some iffy designs, too, and I didn't have much faith in Miranda going in; it turned out much better than I expected.

Apparently, despite people being led to believe it had started production in 2022, Julian Pablo Reyes states Wish actually began development in 2018: https://www.unotv.com/entretenimiento/w ... de-disney/.

That makes way more sense than what was previously reported. It's good to know that time was given to the team behind it to refine as much as they can. The very positive early test screenings where audiences were "highly enthusiastic", is a good sign that the studio has something very special on their hands.
