OH MY GOSH THAT WAS BRILLIANT

Boy, I hope we keep getting full season sets of these shorts. Last year's "season one" set was such a pleasant surprise.

I'd love to be able to own all of these shorts on DVD, but my faith in Disney Home Entertainment has been at rock bottom for years now. Hopefully the first season set wasn't a fluke and these'll keep coming.

The Snow White short was so nice. I loved how it looked, the backgrounds looked so much like the animated classic. And the fact that they added I'm Wishing, was definitely a highlight.

I bought the DVD for the first “season.” I’m not a big fan of the core characters outside of Donald, but I thought, hey, it’s just $7 and I don’t have much of any of the old shorts to watch (unfortunately). I definitely enjoyed these. Not a big fan of the design/style they went with since it looks like something off of Cartoon Network, but I got used to it. The voicework was great, too, although whoever’s doing Mickey here sounds more like the South Park episode…

No Service, Stayin’ Cool, Gasp!, Bad Ear Day, The Adorable Couple, and Flipperboobootosis are my favorites. I enjoyed the couple of film references there were (SW, Cinderella, B&tB, L&tT, Dumbo, the whale and parrot from the short films, etc.).

The only thing I didn’t like about these shorts is Goofy. And it’s not just his design that makes him look like a crazy homeless person—he just flat-out creeped me out. I also wish Donald and Pluto had been in the shorts more. It seemed to be mostly Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy.

Anyway, I’d definitely buy the next two seasons if/when they’re put out on DVD.
