From looking at that picture, Rapunzel will have no problem fitting in with the other 2D Princesses, she looks perfect in the CG to 2D change over.
Although, I can see Aurora getting bumped off stuff for Rapunzel ......
Also, shes in her 'regular' clothes, not an OTT ballgown or anything. Wonder why ?

It's the clothes in which she's most easily recognized.
That's why on the majority of merchandise Ariel's a mermaid, Aurora's in pink and Beast is well...a BEAST.

I'm playing with the Tangled avatar creator, and I love that all the female hair is taken from Disney movies–even Esmeralda's appears.

In most merchandise, the characters appear as their most familiar form from the movies. Pinocchio is always seen as a puppet for example.

YES! FEAR BEATS PRINCESSES! No, seriously. One of my friends was actually debating on if she should be a dead Disney princess (Belle, since she's a brunette,) for Halloween. She ended up just being Belle...

A little thing I love about the animation in this clip is how Rapunzel's arms stretch as she helps Flynn up. Something done all the time in 2D, but is usually avoided in CGI, outside of more obvious situations (such as for Elastigirl) since its not very easy to do, but they did it here to add a sense of tension/weight to Flynn. Subtle but effective in making 3d animation closer to hand drawn.

Mobje that press kit is amazing. I've been trying to define/ sum up the look and style of the film since the screening and I think Keane does it best when he talks about his "sculptural drawings". Want. Glen's. Talent.
