Thank you for posting that, dvdjunkie. It's very refreshing to see you posting in this thread with something positive to say. :)

In other news, Fox just announced its Fall 2011 line-up and confirms that Glee Season Three will premiere Tuesday, September 20th at 8:00 PM.

Also, if Fox follows the same pattern they did last year with releasing the previous season a week before the premiere of the new one, this means the DVD/BD release of Season Two will be on September 13th.

According to JustJared.com, Chord Overstreet will not be returning to the third season of Glee, however, Darren Criss and Harry Shum, Jr. have been bumped up to regulars.
JustJared.com wrote:Chord Overstreet will not be returning to for the third season of Glee, as his series regular option has not been picked up, JustJared.com can confirm.

The 22-year-old actor, who plays the role of Sam Evans on the hit FOX series, could return to the show as an occasional guest star next season, according to Deadline.

Chord just tweeted saying “well its been a good yr too bad its over, time for summer and starting fresh.”

Darren Criss and Harry Shum, Jr., who were both recurring guest stars last season, have been bumped up to series regulars for the third season. Dianna Agron will also be returning for the new season!

Although, I'm slightly confused... It doesn't sound to me like Chord isn't going to be on the show anymore, but that he'll remain a "guest star" like he has in Season Two, which would be much more plausible and makes better sense to me.

I’m so glad Dot Marie-Jones got nominated--she’s amazing! Unfortunately, she and Chenoweth don’t stand a chance against Paltrow. Hopefully, Colfer will win his category, too! He’s the best actor of the younger cast.

It’s too bad Lea Michele and Darren Criss couldn’t have got nominations though.

I'm just glad they got all these nominations. Most other blogs keep going on about how they had "sophomore slump," when I personally felt it was equal to the first season (and better than the second half of the 1st season). The media loves to hype things and then tear them down--and then have a comeback story. Hopefully this'll shut them up already.

Went and saw the 3D Concert film today. It was pretty fun. One of my friends from community theatre is a Warbler, so it was cool seeing him in 3D. Haha. From what I could tell, most of it was sung live. Heather Morris, I'm pretty sure, lip synchs, but her performance of "I'm a Slave 4 U" is flawless otherwise.

I will avoid this movie like the plague that it is. I will watch "Phineas & Ferb - Rollercoaster, The Musical" at least it will be more entertaining.

And don't kid yourself, most of the Concert is pre-recorded and only the live parts in front of an audience will not be lip-synched. And, so you know, the movie is less than an hour and a half long, not counting credits.

Can't believe that there is people who will pay to see this, when if you wait for another month, it will be back on television. And that's free!!!!

We get it. You hate "Glee". Your opinion is not the only one though, and you shouldn't pretend like your opinion is fact.

Yeah, certain members of the cast like Brittany are there more for story/performance reasons, and aren’t great singers. It doesn’t really bother me, considering Britney Spears herself lipsyncs, along with most singers these days. At least Morris is an incredible dancer.

I’ve heard the movie plays as if everyone is their characters in concert? That’s bizarre. Either way, I’ll probably buy this when it comes out on Blu-Ray. I haven’t been out to see it in theaters though. Part of me wishes they would have a movie as a final send-off to the characters who are graduating at the end of next season. I'm pretty sure they all (Jane Lynch and Morrison, too) are contracted to star in three films if they're ever made.

Damian McGinty and Samuel Larsen win The Glee Project, including a seven-episode arc on Glee. Alex Newell and Lindsay Pearce win a two-episode arc on the show. Cameron Mitchell wins fan favorite.

Also, it should be noted that Hannah McIalwain is currently living in LA with Lindsay "pursuing further interests."

Sucks that the two blandest people won, but hey, at least Lindsay's going to be on (from what I read, they manipulated some of her scenes in the editing room to make her seem like more of a bitch).

Too bad Hannah didn’t make it farther--she was my favorite besides Samuel. Lindsay had a decent voice and a nice look, but I thought she was kind of boring.

Also liked Cameron, though it was annoying how often he'd make a mountain of a molehill. Alex should've been eliminated earlier.

Looking forward to seeing Idina Menzel soon. :D I also want to see where they go with the Kurt/Blaine thing. I hope this season treats the Rachel character better though. Even though I was glad for the other characters to get some spotlight, I hope they don't forget about her.

dvdjunkie wrote:With Season Three coming, I will again give this show a chance to show me something besides high schooler's who look like they belong in college, and full-blown orchestras following them all around the campus supposedly on their little boom-boxes. Jane Lynch is my saving grace for this show and I still maintain that she is wasted on this show.
I can't believe she left Party Down for this show... There's no way it could be more creatively fulfilling. (Oh well: her loss was Megan Mullally's gain.)

As for Fox's / Bill's comment... it's a clear double-standard. Oh, he doesn't care what you look like if you're not in control of how you look but get one tattoo or piercing and he'll disown you and consider you a national disgrace. To hell with him.

So I really enjoyed the season premiere and I really want Kurt & Rachel to have their own spin off set in NYC. I think it could be fun. Oh, and I hope that Chris Colfer will FINALLY get his wish of having Julie Andrews play his grandmother!

Saw the premier and I'm looking forward to how the rest of the season goes.

I'm sliiiightly iffy on Quinn. Something about her just annoys me and I find I don't care about her new look/storyline. I think part of this is her huge letdown at the end of last season. She made this "Wait and see" comment about her plans for NYC and then it fizzled into......a haircut. wtf? That's it? I was expecting something bigger from how she was talking.

Sad to see Sam go. Enjoyed the songs tonight. :)

My only quibble was what they've done with Quinn. Otherwise, I enjoyed this episode.

I also really enjoyed last night's episode. It seemed much more focused than most of last season's episodes. I liked most of the songs (I even bought the Anything mash-up and Ding Dong) and thought, overall, the episode was great. I'm not that keen on what they've done with Quinn, but I've read that she'll change back to normal sooner rather than later; I'm hoping that Shelby will be apart of that (and I'm so glad that they're going to talk about how Quinn and Puck had a baby, since, you know, that was mentioned in like one episode last season). So far this looks like it's going to be a great season.

Kind of blah for me--more of a setup episodes with nothing really happening. Loved the Rachel/Kurt scenes though. Hopefully, Lindsay/Harmony will get more to sing more in the future. She's amazing.

That said, next week looks great and I'm looking forward to where they're going. :D
