I kind of wish Ray's flatulance wasn't in the trailer, since people might think it's like a lot of the other animated films of recent years, but I like Ray. I am beyond excited. I've never laughed so hard at movie trailers like I have for the ones for this film. SO EXCITED!!!
I agree that I wish they had left the fart joke out, mainly because it is very exaggerated from the actual joke. In the actual joke the fart is very tiny and squeaky.
But like I said, this is a trailer more for the general audience than the fans, which is something I believe someone predicted a while back.

I agree. In the context of the film, it's cute, but alone it's just a fart joke and the average movie-goer won't know that and think that it's full of fart jokes. But it's a magical film. But I still love Ray, flatulance and all.

Is it just me, or are Disney marketing The Princess and the Frog more aggresively than BOLT?
[oooh]OMG a Walt Disney Animation Studios film is actually getting as much attention as a Pixar production!

Maybe Disney figures that since TP&tF is the return of Disney hand-drawn animation and the return of Disney princess films, that it should have more publicity?

Amy, besides Ray ... did Naveen fart in that trailer!? It didn't sound quite like a fart. I hope it wasn't ...
I hate fart jokes.

I can explain, but it would be spoiling a good chunk of the movie for you.
But I will tell you that Naveen wasn't farting...
EDIT: LISTEN UP EVERYONE! I will post the reason for Naveen's butt to grow large in the trailer, but its a spoiler so BEWARE!
The reason Naveen's butt grew large was because
that wasn't Naveen. According to the story book version of the movie, when Naveen and his man servant visit Facilier he not only turns Naveen into a frog, he turns the servant into Naveen, all part of Facilier's plan. So when Naveen shows up at Charlotte's place its really the buttler in disguise, and in the trailer it looks like the spell will wear off, turning the buttler back into his fat, plump self.
Mystery solved.

Oh....I see so....[SPOILERS]
Charlotte is going to marry the fake-Naveen as part of some plan for Facilier to gain power/money, am I correct?

Thanks for the trailer, I'm really excited to see this movie.
It looks like some cost cutting measures were taken in the animation department but what can you do. With the schedule this movie has and the fact that they had to reassemble there 2D animators and equipment, its understandable. Although, some of the scenes are just fantastic.
At my age its embarrassing that I'm this excited but I just love traditional animation soo much!

I'm sorry to sound negative, but this trailer is just embarrassing. I think this looks awful. Again, I'll see it, out of loyalty and curiosity, but this just lacks the depth and power of their previous work. This looks like a movie any studio could of made. Where's the Disney difference? Certainly not in Newman's whiny vocals, or the saturday morning cartoon humor.

Man, I am thrilled with the new trailer. The music does sound really good, and different from the stuff Disney has done before...
But I have concerns about the middle of the story. Sounds like they have a very intricate beginning, but I wonder how good the story will be once both main characters are frogs...(so far it all seems to be slapstic-y humor...)
And I do have a MAJOR complaint. The opening scene of the trailer...there is a carriage going by...and the HORSE LOOKS TERRIBLE. Looks like they have pieced together a horse with different parts, and hinged them. Like cut-out animation. I know its a minor detail...but couldnt they have just recycled a horse from cinderella or something??
Btw, I have $5 that say that Facilier is done in by the shadows that are his minions...anyone with me?

I would be willing to bet something like that will happen....minions and henchman have turned on their master villain at the ending in some previous DAC For Example
Scar - done in by the Hyenas
Hades - If He gets out of the pool of the dead... If.... If is good
Return of Jafar - Iago turns on Jafar and leads to his ultimate destruction
in Enchanted - Nathaniel betrays the Queen which helps lead to her demise
in Disney/Pixar's Up...Doug the dog who works for Muntz in the beginning betrays Muntz by helping Carl and the gang and that is a henchman who switched sides at the end of the movie...
In Pirates of the Caribbean movies....oh heck every one betrays everyone to gain leverage which leads to demise of several villains Barbossa (well he comes back but you get the point) Davy Jones, Becket, and I am sure many other plots which I am forgetting

hmmm arghhh the movie's campaign has been giving me mixed signals. so far, only trailer 1 worked its charm on me.and thats only like 65% excitement. the secret tour on the other hand got me all giddy with snippets and behind the scenes, especially scenes of dr facilier. this new trailer....meh. im kinda worried actually, if this fails what would it prove. nevertheless the music sounds great and i'll definitely support it day 1 it opens here.i'll just set my expectations low.
