I actually noticed, which is why I called him Dr. Duvalier instead of Dr. Facilier. But these were probably made before the name change. Then again, it could get changed again!

It's not much, I guess, but I like to post updates when updates are posted on the TAG Blog:

Elsewhere in the Disney Animation Studio's hat building, the Princess and the Frog story crew is wrapping up major continuity work on that feature and moving on to other projects (and companies) even as PATF's production staff accelerates its efforts.

Other companies? So much for the handdrawn revolution.

I think it's always been like that, story artists, character animators and inbetweeners aren't all on contract. They just work on a project and move on to the next project in-house or at another studio. It's been like that, even before Disney dropped traditional animation. Even Pixar hires artists just for one film in addition to their normal crew.
I mean, what the heck should these people be doing when a film is stuck on the storyboard... just... sit around? work starts when animating starts.

It's not much information or anything, but it offers different opinions about the future of 2D animation at Disney, sort of...

I wonder if Angela Basset was originally supposed to be playing the role or not (on news, you can't really trust Wikipedia)? Anyway, I'm not disappointed as she's shown she can act and she does have a particularly authoritative voice. I'm glad to hear Eudora's still around. I've been afraid she might be cut.

Wow, The Oprah. Personally, I think they should have went for some like Patti Labelle who already has an animated voice quality. Espcially if the character sings in the film.

Doubt it. She isn't THE star of the show. She's a high profile actress, yes, but not big enough to warrant a big name on the poster. The way I see it, the name will be in the poster if the names of the rest of the actors are in it.

@ Oprah.
Gee, I wonder why she agreed to do this particular film?

Well Miley Cyrus got her name of the Bolt poster, and Penny's not even in the core team of the film.

He does have a mustache.
About Ophra-I don't think she"ll get all the attention, the film will get attention for many other reasons.
And about Miley in Bolt-She's importent and she's one of the leading characters, she's Blot sidekick, she's like Lilo.

It's probably going to be like "Starring Anika Noni Rose, John Goodman, Keith David, and Oprah Winfrey."
I've noticed that when a legendary actor/actress is in a big movie, they always say "And so and so."

I think having Oprah be apart of this film is genious as far as a political stand point. She is seen as one of the most positive black role models of today, and that fact that she's basically saying she endorses this film will be selling the ticket for a lot of people. This is very exciting news to me because there's very little that Oprah touches that doesn't turn to gold.

I too am excited for this movie. I was eagerly waiting for Disney's return to 2D animation. All of them are just great (although some are better than others). CGI is great and all, but nothing can beat old fashioned hand drawn characters.
