I'm afraid you might conclude more spoilers from that shot I was talking about, not sure if you should look at it but I'm linking if you want to look:

There was an Italian book whose preview images showed the ending:

The translation of the ending:
Now, however, Mirabel has shown everyone how to bring back the magic of Encanto: talking to each other, loving each other, hugging each other!
Eventually the family also prepared a door for Mirabel's room. It was beautiful because everyone had done their best to decorate it. A special gift for a wonderful girl ...

Speaking of that, here's our first look at Luisa's Jakks doll, which is part of this
4-doll pack.
I love the doll four pack but I also like the two pack with Maribel and Antonio b/c of the animals. And that set with Mirabel that comes with her hat and accordion. I hope they sell Luisa separate as well. I need to also see what the Disney Store dolls look like, and Im hoping they make a pack of all the 6 kids. BTW I'm surprised none of the Disney Store merch has leaked yet. Speaking of Disney Store I went to one of my two local stores today, the one at Dadeland Mall in Miami, Florida and they finally closed.

I was sooo sad to see that empty store. I knew they were closing but I didn't know it would be so soon. I'm gonna miss those stores sooo badly.

oh wow I cant even remember if I was spoiled for that or not. I think I was, b/c I don't recall feeling surprised or shocked when it happened and a comedic sidekick being killed would have definitely been surprising to me.
D82 wrote: I didn't include those books here because of the spoilers, but also because their covers weren't new.
thank you for being careful with the spoilers. Yeah now its when it starts getting tricky not just b/c of leaked merch but b/c people start posting the book images all over the place. Ill need to be very careful with Tumblr from now on.

That's true. The concept art will most likely look better than the 2D clipart.
yes, Jim Kim makes everyone gorgeous! And I hope he got to draw concept art of everyone!

Alma turned out the best. Mirabel turned out the worst... Sort of a recurring thing with her.

I think they were trying to simulate movement with her dress, but it turned out ugly for it, imo. Maybe they'll make a variant of her that looks better at some point.

This official one is so bland and generic, sounds like an old buena vista social club or shakira b-side.
Hope this is not from Lin Manuel, but just an average song for the end credits.

The sound sounds so distorted I almost want to say someone altered it so it wouldn't get flagged by youtube for getting taken down.

That picture of Mirabel is cute.
So only a month away now... I'm ready to get this one over with. I'm not expecting to like this too much; I remember having higher expectations for
Moana, the last Miranda-driven film, which was only so-so to me in the end, whereas I haven't been excited about anything I've seen of this thus far. Stranger things have happened though. I remember expecting to hate
Frozen, thinking it would be just like
Tangled, and ended up loving it. Similar thing with
Zootopia. Anything is possible.

I believe
Raya and TP&TF are the only films of the last decade+ that I expected to like and actually did like in the end. Well, and
Frozen 2, although I think of sequels as a different beast.

I'm sorry about that. As for the dolls, I like those sets you mentioned too. Speaking of them, here are more photos of the
4-doll set and the
figurine set. I think the Jakks dolls don't look bad, but probably the Disney Store ones will be better, especially the costumes. The Jakks outfits look a bit cheap.

I wanted to add that it was easier for someone like me to get spoiled back then because Disney films weren't released on the same day in Spain as in the US, as they usually are now.
The Princess and the Frog was released more than two months later here. I didn't have Internet at home back then, but I had started using it at my local library. What I learned from that was not to read Youtube comments for upcoming films that haven't been released in my country yet.

Long time no see,
Edthehyena!

It is from Lin-Manuel; it was confirmed by the website
Film Music Reporter a while ago, and the show's host says it too at the beginning of this
extended recording of the performance. She also revealed the soundtrack will be released on November 19. I don't think the snippet heard in
Dancing with the Stars is from the movie version, though. It seems to be performed by a different singer than the one from the last two trailers. I think the official version will probably sound better.
Kyle wrote:The sound sounds so distorted I almost want to say someone altered it so it wouldn't get flagged by youtube for getting taken down.
You're right. At first, I didn't know if it was the sound quality or the singer, but it was difficult for me to understand some of the lyrics. This is what I could get. The translations are in blue and the words in red are the ones I'm not sure about. Maybe one of my fellow Spanish-speaking members can understand more. I think the background vocals say "aé". I don't know what that word means, but I've seen it's in several Latin-American songs. In the teaser trailer, it seems to me they say "o qué" (or what) or something similar instead, but that doesn't make any sense, so most likely it's "aé".

Thanks for the heads up!

That used to be the case here as well, I actually always get the years confused because of that like remembering that Treasure Planet was released in 2003 and Brother Bear in 2004, etc...
I think the last one was The Princess and the Frog which was released here two months after the US, Moana was also released two weeks after but that's not a huge gap. I actually managed to figure out why though, mainly because the best time to release a family film is during the holidays so Hanukkah, Pu-rim, Passover or the summer vacation.
The November release usually coincide with Hanukkah, there are years where Hanukkah comes later in December like in 2016 so they delayed Moana in two weeks, Frozen II was actually supposed to be delayed as well, but it was released on time, probably due to fans' demands
The Princess and the Frog came out in late December, which happened after Hanukkah, so they probably delayed it to late February to coincide with Pu-rim.

Bless you for posting this. However I am only reminded of how many trashy movies this company has made which hurts the beautiful masterpieces they have also made (in much earlier ages by much more respectable people sadly).
Didnt they do something similar for Tangled? Except Tangled had a very pretty heroine at the lead and a very hunky guy so audiences were captivated because physical aesthetics were not being cancelled at this point by woke-mongers. I have not seen anyone in this movie who I would describe as beautiful which makes me feel that this is how Americans view Latin Americans and that they are not deserving of beauty.

What a sad, sad day.
