Random question regarding Brother Bear:

Why on Earth would Disney put the rams in the cover for the DVD/BR when these characters have just one scene in the whole movie?; and later on during the credits.

So the point of the release is for Disney to cash in.
Yes. But on the Blu-ray/DVD combo pack version of the DVD only:

http://www.dvdizzy.com/secretofthewings.html

"On the upside, the original information also indicated that Pixie Hollow Games would be a Blu-ray exclusive, which it thankfully is not. Lamely, though, the special is seemingly left off the single-disc DVD, meaning Disney authored a diluted featherweight DVD just to add value to the combo packs."
So back to my question... since I have the 3D Blu-ray combo pack, there is no need to purchase the new DVD, correct?

Less you want the special on DVD by itself. :P

Asked this before and going to again...

When do you think The Black Cauldron will be released on BR?

And, do you think there´s any chance this time we´ll finally get the extras we were supposed to last time?

If I had to bet, I'd say sometime next year

2015 will be it's 30th Anniversary so I'm thinking then, maybe around September/October just in time for Halloween.

I would bet on a October release in 2014 and call it a 30th Anniversary edition. Just like they are doing with Marry Poppins "50th Anniversary."

This is weird.

Spain didn´t get a Diamond Edition of Peter Pan. However, The Little Mermaid will be available at the end of the month as Diamond AND at the end of october The Jungle Book also Diamond. :?

It's not weird at all, it's the same in all of Europe and it's known for months. ;)

I'll wait for a review before I order this just to be sure or if it's more than just a dumb game.

In Spain Disney has already confirmed what the Extras for Hercules Blu Ray will be.

...and fears confirmed. The Ricky Martin music video and the "making of" that I don´t remember even lasts 5 minutes. So, the exact same DVD but on BR.

As far as audio goes... DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1.

OFFICIAL Digital Copy Provider Availability List

Posted: Thu Sep 12, 2013 12:53 am
by stevemcqueen
The digitalcopyplus.com website was updated with a very important addition to their Info And Help page:
How do I tell which Digital Copy providers are available with my Blu-ray or DVD before I buy?

Digital Providers will vary for some Digital Copy titles. iTunes, for example, will not be available on all titles. You can, however, still enjoy your Digital Copy on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch through the VUDU or the Amazon Instant Video app in the U.S. Both apps are available through the iTunes App Store and are free to download.

For details on which providers are available to you by title, please click/tap HERE.
The link takes you to a fully updated release schedule which show exactly which providers will be supported on each release:

So it seems that our expectations based on the equivalent Canadian releases were correct, that is except for Cars 3D which will not be given a digital copy on it's Canadian release and will still have an iTunes option in the US. So we can assume further that Pixar titles will always have iTunes as a provider.

Very glad they put this detailed list on their site. I guess they did that because many people complained about not having iTunes as an option and the fact that this wasn't mentioned on the packaging.

The list is still "subject to change" and will continue to get updated.

In addition to Vudu and Amazon Instant Video, selected Disney digital copies will now be also available to redeem on Google Play.

Disney is releasing a new 101 Dalmatians storybook on July 22, 2014. Could this signify a Blu-ray release of the movie around that period?

So, Leonard Maltin's comments in this video make me kind of worried for the future of Disney Blu-ray. I personally don't feel comfortable having all of my movies "in a digital cloud". I really like having a physical copy of all of my movies, and I like having them in the best way possible.

The Jungle Book's US preorder is up:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GDT4M1A/ref ... eimprovemz

What I find odd is that this is the version that includes a Digital Copy, and the list price is $38.99 rather than $44.99 like previous Diamond Editions that had the Digital Copy. Are they dropping the regular Blu-ray + DVD pack? I really hope not. I like uniformity in my collection. Plus, the gold is just ugly.
