And by "convinced" you mean you gave him a lobotomy? XD
Just messing with ya... Of course, I do hope that you go with him to a movie HE wants to see once Twilight is over/ XD

He had nothing better to do.

And he didn't go with me- it's not like he's going to the theater to see
Eclipse, but I think he's looking forward to seeing
New Moon tonight!

I read the original articles that Downey's character (the real-life guy) wrote about Foxx's character (the real-life guy), and they were really interesting. I should rent the movie. You just inspired me to write it on my to-rent list!

Cloaca (2003)
Four old college friends in their forties come together in a time of trouble and despair. Old joy relives, but the harsh reality of their problems can't satisfy them and eventually endangers their friendships.
Film with the crème de la crème of the Dutch acting world. Based on a stage play, and you can really tell from the dialogue and performances, but that doesn't matter: it's the powerful acting that makes this film unforgettable. I never knew having the right actors could do so much to a movie, but this one proves it can carry an entire film. One by one, great characterizations, spot-on; and a scène with a young Caro Lenssen you'll never forget.

National Lampoons Vacation (1983) - I always watch this movie with my family around this time of year (Much like how I Christmas Vacation around the holidays with my family). It's a great comedy with many memorable moments. They just do not make them like this anymore.

Did a rewatch of
Twilight, which has gotten worse over time, and then
New Moon, which has gotten better, with my mom since she had never seen them and wanted to.
We then went and saw
Eclipse Wednesday, which is by far the best so far, which isn't really saying much. I'm pissed the superior Rachelle Laferve was replaced with Bryce Dallas Howard in the role of Victoria. Howard isn't nearly as intimidating, and plays the villainous vampire too... sweet? I'm also glad the side characters, notably Rosalie and Jasper, were upgraded to more substantial roles in this entry to the over-hyped series. Dakota Fanning carried the films in the scenes she was in, which is a great feat considering she's the youngest in the entire cast.
Other, first time, viewings:
Thirst - This was advertised as a horror/suspense movie, but it was definitely not horror. There was a lot of suspense, and I would label it more as a dramatic thriller than "scary." It was actually more of a character drama, to be honest. The plot-line, which is a group of four friends going to a lesser known part of Devil's Mountain, was trite, but the characters were fresh. The "dumb blonde" or "first girl" was actually intelligent and not helpless. The main character, played by Lacey Chabert, was kind of annoying, but DEFINITELY the most sensible of the four. Mercedes McNab played Athenia, the blonde I mentioned before. The two males were played by actors I've never heard of, but each did great in their roles. Recommended.
New Best Friend - I watched this because of Meredith Monroe, and ti was pretty awful. Monroe and Taye Diggs were the only good ones in the cast, and I just would not recommend it to anyone lol.
Remember Me - I don't know why I watched this, considering I dislike both Robert Pattinson and Emilie de Ravin... Still, it was a good movie, despite being pretty slow at points. I knew of the ending before watching the film, but that didn't really deteriorate from the viewing experience. Recommended.
Bandslam - Surprisingly very good. Vanessa Hudgens and Aly Michalka actually acted well, as did Lisa Kudrow of course, but when doesn't she?

Shutter Island - 10/10 - What a great movie. I really can't say too much because it would give away story, but it was a really great movie and worth seeing if you love thrillers.

New Moon two days ago. And then the big one last night. Eclipse! Finally! OMG. See, I don't tend to have favorites in franchises such as these, so I can't say that one is better than the others. But I LOVED it. OMG. And so much fun. Other people weren't so into howling when Jacob came on screen, but dammit, I had fun! <3 Good times. And don't bother staying to see if there's anything after the credits, because sadly, there is not.

*THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILER*
Cruel intentions (1999)
The rich guy Sebastian makes a bet with his incredibly hot step-sister Kathryn (Sarah Michelle Gellar): if he's able to fuck the already ingaged, holier-than-thou, 'no sex before marriage' Annette (played by the also very hot Reese Witherspoon), he will be allowed to fuck his step-sister too. In the meantime, he also gets to fuck some other virgin 'friend' of his step-sister.
Great premise, some great scenes between Sebastian and Kathryn; and some between Sebastian and Annette, but a lot of filler material and an awful moralistic last half hour.
Suddenly the ladies man has fallen in love with Annette. He finally has the chance to bed his hot stepsister, the one woman he could never have and which he has lusted after for years, but no, he doesn't do it. He makes a complete change of character because of the dull, uninteresting Annette, with which he had no chemistry at all. He turns into a good guy, but just as he has become 'good', he dies in a car accident and then he is deïfied in a church ceremony... Oh, the drama!
I'd rather see him bed Sarah Michelle Gellar, that would at least have rewarded me for investing two hours in this very weak film.

^ Maybe you should put a spoiler alert in there. I had seen parts of the movie before, but I didn't know that that's what it was about. But yeah, spoiler alerts would be nice...I'd still have read it, but just saying!

I still haven't seen that film. Never saw much reason too. So I just watched
Dangerous Liaisons twice like most people should. Good movie.

4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days (2007)
Also known as
4 luni, 3 saptamâni si 2 zile in its original Romanian. Set in 1987, this extremely slow film is about a young girl who has to get an illegal abortion, and her friend who helps her. I've often railed against the way Hollywood works, but at least Hollywood would've been able to make an interesting film out of this controversial story.
But here, the audience has to sit through almost an hour of the pregnant girl's friend walking around, trying to book a hotel room where the abortion is to be performed. After that, we also have to sit through at least 15 minutes of negotiations between the girls and the 'doctor'. Then we also have to suffer through almost half an hour where the friend goes to visit her boyfriends' parents, which has absolutely nothing to do with the main story! And a lot of these extremely long scenes are shot from only one camera's point of view, which makes the film drag on even more.
A nightmare for everybody who loves cinema.

For entertainment purposes only, I watched, in order, all four
The Fast & The Furious movies. They were really fun to watch, even though they have some outlandish ideas about what makes a car go fast.
After watching them in order 1, 2, 3 and 4, I now know why people say you should watch them in the order 1, 2, 4 and then 3.
Not the best movies in the world, but certainly not the worst. Just good fun and entertainment.

2012- 3/10
Not exactly the greatest movie, the ending sucked. I never really cared about any of the characters. Don't ask me how it got 4 stars from Roger Ebert.
The Bounty Hunter- 2/10
And I though 2012 was a bad movie. This movie was full of cliches and the ending didn't even make sense. I hardly knew what was going on half of the time.

Yeah, Ebert has been off in his reviews as of late (though he has approved certain questionable movies back in the day such as Space Jam). I wouldn't put too much thought into it considering what he has been going through with his health.
