Old Fish Tale wrote:Kelvin, could you tell us more about the clip?
Sure. In the clip they showed us, Lizzy lets Tinker Bell out of a cage and into her room. We see that Lizzy's absolutely obsessed with fairies. She's got drawings of them all over her room and has created an elaborate home for one in hopes of catching it. Tinker Bell finds some of the fairy myths Lizzy is spouting (like how they must grant wishes if caught) amusing. When she tries to correct Lizzy, though, she only comes across as tinkling chimes. Tink then communicates to Lizzy through pantomime ala the original Tink we all know. She explains that she needs to leave, and Lizzy reluctantly opens the the window. Unfortunately, it's pouring outside, prohibiting Tink from flying. Lizzy agrees to let Tink go as soon as the storm ceases. She reveals how much she wishes to fly, and so Tink decides to use her dust on Lizzy. It works, and soon Lizzy is soaring around the room and later down the hall. Lizzy's father is another room working on some sort of scrapbook, the sound of Lizzy's thrilled giggling and crashing into furniture disrupting him. Tink takes Lizzy by the finger and helps guide her to fly more gracefully.
I was pretty impressed by what I saw. Something about it felt more like the original Peter Pan and less like the first two Tinker Bell films. There was a sense of whimsy and timelessness about it, and the scene of Lizzy learning to fly was very effective. The people who hosted the interview said the eight-minute clip should be widely available this week.

I saw it! So beautiful! I just love Lizzy, and all of her silly, mixed-up notions about fairies! Oh, and her picture of Tink and the gang is adorable. Although, did she draw that? If so, how did she know what Fawn, Dess, Sil, and Ro look like? It seems like there is some time inbetween the first and second half of that clip.... do you think the other fairies arrive sometime between them?

Did anyone else see the sneak peek on Disney Channel today? I stumbled across it by accident... My gosh this movie looks so great! It depicted the scene where Tink is initially trapped in Lizzie's fairy house, and Vidia's involvement.... It was rather interesting, and I can see the potential for some serious character development on Vidia in this film.

Loved the clip! So sweet! I just love Lizzy!
And as for the Pixie Previews, I think that they have started to become a medium through which deleted scenes can be shared with the general audience. "Ominous Warning," anyone?
And the voices... Ro didn't sound much different. Clank did sound a little odd, but it still sounded like the same actor. And in that Pixie Preview, I thought Mr. Griffiths sounded a little bit like the voice actor for Clank, actually. Maybe he did a scratch voice or something, since it was just one line in a Pixie Preview?

Wow, I loved the little snippets from that Leo Little thing. It looks like we get to see some epic use of fairy powers (especially judging from that one shot of Silvermist using her Water Talent on the boat). I also caught a shot of the back of Terence's head, LOL!

That was great! Very clever idea, building a boat. I loved all the little details, like Vidia's face when the other girls did their little hand thing at the end, or the fact that the stag beetle made sounds like a very large animal....
But one continuity question: Is everyone on the Mainland? What are Clank and Bobble doing on the Mainland? I was led to understand that the only Tinker allowed on the Mainland was Tinker Bell, because she has an additional talent with Lost Things that gives her an important responsibility to fix and return Lost Things to humans. Clank and Bobble only came with her in the first film to help carry the music box!
Maybe they'll explain why they're there, later.... I'm sure there's a perfectly good reason for it.
