The Little Mermaid III

Wow Ariel'sprince, thanks for bringing that to our attention, I would have missed that for sure! Because that girl who gave the information says she's Alan in the movie, I guess it's very possible the news is true.
I'm gonna be honest, my desire to see this movie waned with the story that's just about no music allowed in Atlantica and all the Princess DVD board game trivia questions focused mostly on Sebastian and music. I love music of course, but not when it drives the plot that much. Having a beautiful voice you sacrifice to get your dream is one thing, trying to bring back music to the land is something like a TV episode! It's like when Ariel couldn't laugh anymore. And there's no mention of a cool villain. So unless I hear some better things about the plot, I will of course see this but not look forward to it.

I hope it's not,otherwise this movie sounds bad and we were waiting for nothing
,the plot now does make sense (also-remember that Ariel went to a club with music and she was like "Ooooh! music!!!"? it make sense (althought it doesn't make any sense that Sebastian is making a club that Triton won't allow),that episode called Giggels,and agree with you about the plot.

I'm sorry to bring this up once more, but does anyone know if
the character of patt carol (ursula) is still going to be featured in the movie.
I believe someone on this forum said that sally field will portray
the quote ''baddy'' instead of voicing ariel's mother!
what's up with that, the ursula-triton plotline is still present right???????
I'd hate to miss out ursula!
please someone clear this up for me!

I kinda figured that they would release it in the Summer, as there has been no promotion for it, and The Jungle Book DVD not having a trailer was the telltale sign I think.
And, Ariel is a Summer Princess isnt she? She always comes into prominance in the Summer, so her third movie coming out at that time makes sense.
I wonder when the interview was? Or is its online ?

Well, some people said they knew people working on the movie and those people said Ursula was in it. But because Disney doesn't want information coming out about the film, possibly because the information could change, Disney's being very secretive, and so their employees need to be, too. And their friends need to keep their identities secret when they reveal information.
But really, after all the official news we've gotten about the plot (the trivia questions, the promotional summary), it looks like all we know is King Triton forbids music in Atlantica, Sebastian sings at a secret music club, and they will talk about Arie's mother. No Ursula is mentioned, it's almost like the villain here is King Triton!

I agree when you say that triton has a two role identity, hopefully ursula is the cause of his forbidding music.
my guess is that she somehow did something to his late wife that more than upset him
let us hope that the purple diva will strike again!

I cannot wait for this movie! I really hope it follows in the pattern on cinderella 1 and 3 where the first is a platinum edition and the sequel comes out the spring another year later.

The prequel will surface on DVD only on August 26, 2008, boasting the original voice cast, new songs and characters (including Marina Del Ray, a villain voiced by Sally Field), plus a music video, featurette, and more TBA.
How exciting!!! And I'm so glad that Ariel is the main character!!!

Wow! With the announcement of Sally Field voicing a character (a villain, no less!), I'm all in for this, and my excitement for this film has gone from zero to off the charts!

I cannot tell you how relived I am that Ariel is once again going to be the main character of the movie! I am soooooooo excited! August cannot come quick enough. I love the title as well.
So Pat Caroll won't be coming back then it seems? But Sally Field should be good as well.

Where did this information come from? And if it truly boasts the original voice cast, then it'll have Christopher Daniel Barnes as Eric, and I dont think that's happening.
