It seems that Jakks Pacific is going to release a sabe of dolls again. I thought that this franchise was cancelled.

There was going to be another Tinker Bell film after the cancelled Tinker Academy and it would have connected the film series back to the original Peter Pan. It was going to be directed by Stephen Anderson and Dan Abraham.

I, and loads of others, would 100% have been here for two more films ! It's a clear win for Disney+ isn't it ? Have a Tink franchise on there, it would THRIVE I reckon.

Tinker Bell is now considered problematic. Her Meet and Greet is now eliminated.

Tinker Bell hasn’t had a meet and greet in Walt Disney World since the start of the pandemic. However, Tinker Bell still flies over the crowd during the Happily Ever After Fireworks show (safety precautions permitting).

I tried to look it up and couldn’t find confirmation, but I suspect the meetable Tinker Bell only dates back to 2008 when the first Tinker Bell movie premiered. After all, prior to that, Walt Disney’s Tinker Bell never spoke!

Yes, because once again, one of their videos is purposefully misleading you. Ask yourself, if the character is “problematic,” why would they be axing her from only one US park, and not all of them? Isn’t California more “woke” than Florida? If that’s the case, why would you leave Tink in CA but not FL? And if the character has been blacklisted for being problematic in FL, why would you cancel their meet and greet in FL but not also their parade and fireworks appearances in FL? Only Disney would have access to the numbers, but I think it’s fair to guess that, in a single day, many, many more people saw Tinker Bell during the fireworks than queued to meet her at the Town Square Theatre. So if they are purposefully trying to hide “problematic” Tinker Bell, they are doing a bad job of it. Lastly, Tinker Bell was not the only character whose meet and greet never returned post-pandemic. For example, Baymax used to have a M&G in Epcot but no longer does. However, similar to Tink, he can still be met in California.

WDW Pro (and other sites that run clickbait Disney headlines) is spreading this BS because 4 years since Tink’s meet and greet closed, Disney has only recently removed the signage for her meet and greet in Magic Kingdom. That has nothing to do with any “agenda,” and everything to do with poor park maintenance. Speaking of, if this story were true, why didn’t WDW Pro run it four years ago when Tink’s M&G actually closed? Interesting their “insiders” only got the scoop when an old sign was removed…

Disney is not going to stop using Tinker Bell. She's an icon, one of the most recognizable characters of the company and her merchandise is very popular. They even built a new ride at Tokyo. They are not going to renounce her only because some people think that she's not a good reference.
Honestly I'm tired about people who only see bad things. It happens the same with Snow white and they want everybody to think like them.

I don't use to like this books because I see them as fanfics edited by Disney but honestly this one looks really nice! All the stuff that expand Disney's Fairies universe are welcome!

I've been rewatching the films lately and I'm still loving them. Yesterday I saw The Pirate Fairy and my opinion is the weakest one.
I love the fact that they included more things to connect the films with Peter Pan's universe but at the same time I had the feelig that the plot is not well developed and that Zarina is not as good as other fairies. They made a great job with others character's personalities and Zarina looks plain and not so well developed. Yes, we know that she loves to experiment with pixie dust but everything happens really fast and without any kind of explanation.
I'll try to see the last film this weekend. I only saw this one once and it was really emotive so let's see what I think right now after many years without watching it.
I'll also try to buy the new book next month. Let's see if it's better than other Disney novels.

I finished Wings of starlight. It's great but I expected it to be more emotive. However is a great chance to come back to Pixie Hollow and to meet new characters from this world. It's easy to read if your first language is not English. I had some difficulties with some words that I didn't know but despite this I didn't have any other problems.
I would love them to make more books about Disney fairies. There are much things yet to explore!

Besides the two feature films, a holiday special from 2013 that would have featured a toddler Tiger Lily was also cancelled.

Honestly I don't understand why they have not make more stuff with this franchise. People love Disney fairies too much and there's nostalgia about them. They could have made a series of shorts for Disney+ instead of making stuff that nobody cares about.

The franchise has probably reached that stage of the nostalgia cycle where certain millennials would actually feel specific fondness toward the brand, which would surely justify some kind of presence.

Whoa, Tiger Lily was going to have a cameo? Well, it would`ve been nice if she was actually featured. But frankly, she looked off-models in the concept arts (but truth to be told, so did Wendy in the first Tinker Bell movie).
