Has there been any artwork of the other characters yet?

Wait, Rapunzel is outside the tower with her hair still intact?

I know we're all whining and moaning about the title change but at this point I dont really care.

So far nothing has yet to impress me about this film, and I've seen both the WIP trailer and the teaser on the TPatF DVD. I dunno if it's the overuse of bland comedy or the dullness of the fairytale itself or the 9000000th attempt by Disney to turn a European fairytale into a musical with nontalking animal sidekicks and not much style or substance.

That's what I'm getting so far from a film that's due out in 7 months.

Am I getting a little ahead of myself? Yes I am seeing that I'm judging a film before release.

But I'm just letting people see that there's more that can bother people on here about a film than just a unusual title or a bland marketing campaign.

Probably because she wanted to keep it secret from Madame Gothel, especially if Madame Gothel treats Rapunzel very nice to keep her in her tower.

ILY, Margos. haha. And I agree about Pascal- so cute! And I agree about the parents buying chameleons now, BUT we have this issue with so many Disney films, although chameleons may be cheaper than dogs, so maybe more will be bought?

I have a foot fetish. There's absolutely nothing wrong with having a foot fetish. I think most people have a foot fetish. Feet are sexy.

Also, I don't agree with you Polizzi regarding DreamWorks. Whereas they don't make my favourite animated films I am generally quite happy with their output.

Even with that, in consideration, Pascal would have to be a gift from Gothel. Actually, that's kind of cool... I bet Mother Gothel tries to buy Rapunzel's love, maybe with an exotic pet?

Very sad, too, about the parents who will give in and buy their children a pet Pascal... Very sad...

I believe the film takes place in the Roccoco not the medieval period.Corsets,floral prints,and lace were popular those times.See the detail on Rapunzel's dress.



Flynn's outfit is also similar to John Smith's outfit.(18th century explorer outfit)
As for that chameleon......So rich people had exotic pets in Versailles.Hey.If Du Barry had a monkey as her pet,then why not a chameleon as Rapunzel's pet?

I don't actively wish to deny you, but the fact that you've actually drawn a picture of Rapunzel's feet and that you've gone to great pains to do listings and such suggest that this comment is a bit of an after-thought. Anyway, love the new pic of Pascal. The name keeps making me think of Turbo Pascal though.

suspension of disbelief people. It's a fairytale. I think they particularly picked a chameleon as a metaphor for the story devellopment!

You have no idea how many times I thought that ever since early criticism began with Princess and the Frog when we barely knew anything about the film . . . and how it continues with this one and will probably continue with each subsequent one. Earlier films that are now beloved would have been criticized all to hell even in the earliest conceptual stages.

So what kind of picture is that? Is that more clip-art kinda stuff? Or is that the real deal? Like how he'll look in the movie?

For sure! If an online rumor had leaked prior to Beauty and the Beast that there would be a talking and singing candlestick, clock and teapot people would have raised hell! Nowadays every little nugget is overanalysed and overcritisized, a growing problem with this society these days. People are judgemental and even worse way too quick to judge. Form an opinion... yes, but don't set it in stone untill you know what you are talking about. That would be my advice!

Btw, isn't the name too "sophisticated" for a pet chameleon? Whenever I hear that name, Blaise Pascal comes to mind.

Another thing is that Pascal is a common name in France and Italy, not Germany in which the tale takes place. Then again, Flynn is a name of Irish origin so they probably do not give too much thought in naming the characters.

HOLY SHIT awesome. I love chameleons a lot so this means a lot to me.

First off, chameleons are very expensive to buy, and to take care of. They also require extreme time and focus for. They are some of the most difficult pets to raise. Even captive breed ones. Though that doesn't mean a child can't own and raise one, but he/she must be dedicated to do so. I raise one very well when I was in first grade. It was a wild chameleon to add to that and I cared for it 2 and half years. That's pretty long impressive with a wild chameleon. Most kids aren't very responsible so I doubt they're get one LOL.

Actually it's quite the opposite. Reptiles are always very expensive pets to buy and to raise.Wild ones are even more expensive than breed ones. I would know since I've raise two chameleons in my life time. Chameleons also need far more work and dedication to care for than a dog. This is why usually it's adults who go and buy reptiles, than a kid would.

wtf up with this foot fetish debate? That polizzi guy/gal is taking too much sugar with all his/her hyperactive venting over a mere shitty title. His/her art also sucks too.
